He may look like a Duck, he may sound like a Duck, but Koivu is a Hab for life

I agree Ian, and I'm so sad and angry that he wasn't elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame before he passed. I just hope that Pat read about all the fans and journalists calling for his election, and knew it was merely a matter of time before it happened.

I've come to the conclusion that while most teams have fans that are like dogs, faithful and dependable, a lot of Habs fans are like cats; they'll purr and pretend to like you, but if a player screws up once, the claws come out and they're out for blood.

Damn...I'd LOVE to see a few Habs climb the boards and go "Hanson Brothers" on the boo birds....that would definitely be worth the price of admission.

Or "accidentally" spill your soda all over'em (save your beer to drink)...really give 'em something to bitch about.

judging from the responses, the bottom line is most everyone here thinks what you said in your original post is utter bulls**t

Answer me this, do you boo in a movie theatre when you don't like the acting or the story line?
How about when you go to a concert and they don't play you favorite song?
Do you boo if your steak isn't cooked perfectly in a restaurant, or boo the waittress if you don't like her service?
Of course not, that would be asinine, wouldn't it? So is boing at a Habs game. There are other ways of showing your dis-satisfaction with a player other than booing which affects the WHOLE team. Try staying home, so real fans can go support the team.

I agree...Red is ruining his legacy by continuing to write as he has the past few years. His writing now is that of a grumpy old man, and not how I want to remember him or his writing.

People keep saying "Don't boo, because it's only the first pre-season game"
How about we just say this and let the F'in subject die...
"REAL FANS boo the refs, boo the other team but never, under any circumstances, boo players on their favorite team, as it doesn't just hurt that player, but brings down the team as a whole. REAL fans don't bring their favorite team down, they cheer them onto victory"
