As a Habs fan living in Buffalo, I have become nauseous at years of Sabres fans talking about Miller, Vanek, Roy, Stafford, Myers, Pominville, etc., and how "this is the year" they were going to get there. Yet, they never do. Fast forward to the last two years of "who cares if we tank?" and praying for losses and team embarrassment to get a few guys that may or may not be great. They're an embarrassing organization and always will be. People buy into hope like no other in this town (yes, I do it for the Bills each year!), and that sells tix. Now they bring in a hard-a$$ in Tim Murray, and people think he'll solve all the problems. He's a rookie GM who will need years of experience to figure out how it's done, especially since his surrounding cast is limited. They have no real goaltending prospect, they got suckered into the Grigorenko pick, and despite everyone saying McDavid is the second coming of Jesus, if he goes to the Sabres, they'll find a way to ruin him... they always do. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but I remember Daigle and Stefan being hailed as the next best, too. So, no, I am not worried about the Sabres being good. Sure, they'll win more games (how can they not?), and have some good offensive talent, but the cycle of "almost making" it will continue. I'm more concerned with Florida, the Islanders (clearly), even Columbus.

Holy cow... I don't even know what to say.

We have Sabres season tickets and I always tip either the guy walking up into the seats or the guy at the stand behind our section. Even if it's a dollar, $1.50 or whatever. Granted, beers are a bit cheaper in Buffalo... $9ish, give or take depending on brand and ounces. But, I can't imagine that these people make all the much and instead depend on people giving them a few extra bucks. Yeah, when you're paying that much already for beer, it's not cool. But in the grand scheme of things, it's the right thing to do. PS) No, our guys don't have buttons that suggest a tip, just one for the price. Also, I only tip for beer and not at the regular concession stand for cheap pretzels, nachos, popcorn, etc.

The pic at the top is hilarious. A huge gap in age there. "Dad, do you think I did good?" "Yes, son. Let me tousle your hair."

Ever notice that Sekac spelled backwards is Cakes? I like cakes.

Sounds good. Never had goose. I'm doing a beef tenderloin with roasted potatoes for the in-laws and my family. And a lot of booze.

Go Good Guys.

Hi, all. I'm a daily reader, but infrequent poster. As far as Timo being banned, I think it might be due to this from the other day... http://tinypic.com/r/4g54ip/8 But, I really don't know. I have no problem with him or anyone else on this site, but did wonder if that comment was a little ill-timed. It's just conjecture on my part, though.
