rocket5050 May 9th, 2013 at 5:36 pm Before the last game science predicted a habs win. Zoo Camel chose montreal to win. When offerred two hay handfuls, one by a bald rds announcer dressed in a habs sweater the camel chose baldies hay. Then the camel tried to eat the other guy’s hair, the fellow dressed in an ottawa sweater, but not thwe hay. In Ottawa, a walrus was offerred two fish. One each by 2 sports announcers, each dressed in a different sweater. The walrus gobbled up both fish at the same time and took a time out to prepare his harem of walrus ladies for tonite’s performance. At nhl headquarters in Toronto staff ate endangered species called nhl integrity for dinner and les m@udit anglais chose ottawa to win.

The habs will win if theystay focused and beat both the sens and nhl ref corruption. It’s always been open season on Canadiens players. That’s what makes the great Canadiens dynasties so great. Like overcoming apartheid, anti-Semitism, misogyny or misandry, Les Bleus Blancs Rouges have to overcome massive prejudice to succeed. The blatant favoritism circus of the corrupt ref’s and media's heavily preferred teams like the Toronto make beliefs and Boston (Chara) divers and intentional killers make others exist on a much higher feudal playing surface where rules and common sense are often optional. If the lowly peasant Habs refuse to acknowledge this reality and to build a team to win accordingly in the face of such adversity then they deserve to fold and move into oblivion. The bar is much higher in Montreal. C’est la vie! Rocket Richard overcame massive prejudice like the baseball bat type swing that knocked him out cold and caused the riots. The ref’s response was to hold rocket down while bruin players beat the #$%$ out of him. Koivu had his eye skewered out by a Boston stick . Patch’s broken neck was ok because Chara looked away when he committed attempted man slaughter. None of these blatant crimes were ever acknowledged or punished. History is littered with many more such examples. Hockey is a blood sport where the Habs are the hunted like medieval peasants were by the nobility. NHL safety video of Gryba’s leading head shot, not incidental, on Eller showed Eller was clearly blindsided and out cold with blood spewing before he hit the ice. The media propaganda by tsn, rds, cbc, etc to the contrary is just bigoted brainwashing with the integrity of Bernie Madoff running a ponzi scam. At least gryba got a few games so the nhl has a shred of humanity left, but not much. Butchering opponents is in enormously profitable in the NHL. Gryba is cashing in on while laughing and mocking eller, the habs and the pathetic nhl suspension standards.

Lets see how the injuries add up... No Carey Price. - No big deal if budah is on his game and he has a good recored. Often better than price during the regular season. When budah is bad he's very bad, when he is good he is very good. The game turns on if bad budah or good budah shows up and if the habs stick to their superior puck posession game like the habs did in the early part of the last game.. No Brian Gionta. - Not much of factor most games. Dumont is much better at faceoffs. 6-0 last game I think. Gionta's often poor back checking and weak puck pursuit are frustrating. No Brandon Prust. - A definite morale booster but not a game breaker. Blundin @6-4 is no prust but no push over either. Prust took a dumb penalty last game and his comments in part helped the bigoted refs target him unfairly for a couple of fictional penalties each game. Better with him for sure but not a game breaker. No Lars Eller.- Not for a while and the habs have played well and won without him. Nice to hear he is skating although no where near returning. No Ryan White. - A good asset in the palyoffs but hurt his team as much as helping them down the stretch. Certainly not a game breaker. Should be easy to replace. Blunden, halpern, etc can make it up. No hope? - More like no excuses as none of these injuries are to game breakers and their replacements should be as good or better. Most of the best players like gallagher, galycheniuk, ryder, etc have seen less time then they should. Who knows, maybe now the habs will actually play their best and do better.

The sens are nothing special. None of the injuries are to game breaker players except price when he is on his game. His teany smurf D retreat into his crease so much its no wonder price gets hurt and shell shocked. The habs will win if the budah plays a good game which he usually does, habs need a goal or 2 on the pp, the pk does its job, stay in front of anderson as he can't stop what he can't see and play 60 minutes. If the habs play their patented puck control game for 60 minutes they win the game and the series. If the habs play another moronic d shell game they are dead. An above average game but nothing spectacular is needed to beat the piggy sens and old soviet union reffing. Play through the sen's cheap shots and corrupt reffing. Habs need discpline and finish. Walrus gifted the habs all the motivation needed. Gryba topped that saying to the press how he relished smelling and tasting habs blood.

You missed the point BILLL. Therrien had the wrong players on the ice well before the icing calls. The point is prust was injured so playing him was damaging to both prust and the team. The habs cheapskate smurf approach to building defense is ok as long as substantitive size in defensemen is included as well. They had drewiske, paytern, tinordi and others available but the habs never developed and included larger defensemen sufficiently. Tinordi was not well enough developed yet going into the playoffs. He's ok but not there yet cause the he was an after thought. Therrien kept his D pairings way too small for the playoffs and that scrum. An error he should have corrected. The pairing of diaz and josh was a train wreck against bigger ottawa players.

Excellent article. You have to be politically correct and restrain yourself to keep your job. I don't. The habs had this game in hand. Therien blew it. The loss is his fault. Yes the game was affected by entirely corrupt heavily biased reffing (bigotry displayed by both on and off the ice officials) against them, dirty otttawa players, lazy hab players, and some bad bounces. But the habs overcame all of that untill therrien got dumb and dumber. What the habs could not overcome was therrien's stupidity. The disastrous changes he made for the defensive shell of the third period. Wasting his timeout earlier in the game, pairing small defensemen, playing prust, rookie dumont had no idea how to defend in the final scrum by lollygagging alone high in the slot while his team got the cr@p beat out of them in the crease pinballing price . .... .I guess Dumont wanted the sen players autographs so he stayed back to get a good view while they scored. Prust essentially scored the sen's tieing goal as the puck banked off his paralyzed body to the crease for an easy sen goal. This player had gone down in a heap of injured flesh earlier in the game and often needed attention on the bench. At the end of teh game what the h~ll was he doing on the ice? What the h~ll were 2 teeney smurf defensemen doing on the ice? As a habs fan I appreciate the miracle on ice Therrien accomplished when took a team in ashes and turned it into a winner. As a habs fan I am outraged that he blew everything he built with incredibly blatant stupidity visible from space in the last seconds of that game. When I saw his loser lineup for the final minute I said no here we ago again.
