Hockey is a game of momentum. Unfortunately much of that resides with the goaltender. Last night Carey Price changed the momentum of the game by whiffing on the tying goal in the third period, when the Habs had played pretty well and with good goaltending, looked like they would win. One weak goal and the Sens are energized, the Habs are deflated, and the game changes. Craig Anderson in the other net oozes confidence and his team stays in a game even when they give up 50 shots. That is playoff goaltending. I don't think we can get that from Price as the last two months he has been slowly getting worse. Therrien might show some guts tonight and start Budaj. Price has not earned the right to start this critical game. Hockey is not charity. I like Price but do not think we can win tonight with him, let alone this series. Either he gets better or we need to reconsider our franchise goaltender because good starts to a season do not a playoff team make.
