Fact: 3rd Period SCORING in this series Sens 9 Habs 0 (no players mentioned, just a FACT) We’ve sucked in the 3rd Period this series! It’s not the sole reason for being in a 3-1 position, but that’s the most important period of the game! It’s not like we haven’t shown up for this series, apart from some individual players on the team, but we’ve flaked out at the wrong times! Can’t expect this team to play perfect to every game but, where’s the “Character”? Isn’t that what MB & MT we’re bitchin about all season long! Rubbing more salt on some wounds out there, but fact is that Sens dealt with injuries to Major players CG, JS etc, and they’re winning because they had the experience of having to win without that star player being in the line up! For a Majority of the season, this team was HEALTHY, Yemelin, Eller goes down and most players on this team forget to play smash mouth hockey. Rationalize this: NHL Player Defensive Statistics – 2012-13 in (Reg.Season) in the Top 100: Habs – A. Emelin (110), L. Eller (86), T. Moen (82) , F. Bouillion (78), J. Gorges (68) Sens – C. Neil (206), M. Methot (130), C. Greening (122), Z. Smith (97), C. Philips (93), E. Gryba (89) NHL Player Defensive Statistics – 2012-13 (Post-Season Stats) – After Just 3 games Habs – B. Prust (14) – playing hurt, R. White (11) , R. Diaz (9), T. Moen (6) , F. Bouillion (4), J. Gorges (1) Sens – C. Neil (16), M. Methot (10), C. Greening (9), Z. Smith (5), C. Philips (10), E. Gryba (1) http://espn.go.com/nhl/statistics/player/_/stat/defensive/sort/hits/count/281 Drive425 Drive425

One shot, One Check, scoring chance, battle, and period to win at a time! Sucks, hells yeah!, but I'd rather have Gm 5, then know that we could've been ELIMINATED today, a situation the Nucks are in right now Go Habs Go! Drive425

Shit does happen like the first sens goal and the 2 icing calls, and all those calls that the refs missed, but for the first 2 periods! This team was moving the puck like they owned that rink, aggressively forechecking the shit out of the sens, it's a demanding style of play to keep up, but damnit it's the playoffs! We did deserve to win based on the first 40 mins! call that first goal whatever you want, that's when they woke up & decided to play the 3rd period, like the did the first 2 periods, oh shit we just got scored, and now it's 2-1. At that point, they knew we were on our heels. with a defensemen like Karlsson, transition game speeds up. We need to get bigger and faster, can't let guys get into our zone so easily! Drive425

Agree on all fronts, we took are foot of the pedal, it's the reason OTT felt confident going into our zone and get a goal like that as un- f'in fair as that sounds! You expect the refs to call it fair, but shouldn't leave it up to them. Good teams find a way to win, we only found ways for the first 40 mins. From here on in, must win each period, regardless of who the f's injured/banged up, can't stop taking it to the Stupid f'in ens! Drive425

That's what happens when you SIT BACK, and only play 40 mins. Refffing was clear FF'd, but why leave it to them for breaks, make your own breaks. This loss sucks because we had this, but first 10 mins shots we're 8-1, WTF! We'll battle back for sure but they know where banged up so doesn't getting easier, great we lose the game in 25 mins, *&#%*&#!0 A great 40 mins, a shit 25 mins! Drive425

They'll say he still needs more playoff seasoning! he needs to get to Tim Thomas's age to have the hunger to win the cup! lol! Gionta, Moen, & Ryder have won a cup each, but their experience and impact on the rest of the team, seems 50/50 at best. Price has been on this team for 6 yrs, he's got exp. of being 1st in the EC, 2nd in the EC, a lower seeded playoff team, out of the playoffs, team w/o home-ice adv, looks like Cup exp is next. He can use that exp as leadership to lead the troops, or maybe he doesn't have the clout to tell DD, Ryder and those teammates who didn't show up tonight with their big boy pants on! He has the most potential out of all on the team IMO and the last 2 times that this team has won cups has been through solid team play, solid coaching & etc., but also largely influenced by goaltending I'll support Carey when he merits it! like in Gm 2, I don't expect him to get a shutout everytime he's on the ice, that'd be great if he did, but letting in the "type of" soft goals that he's surrendered doesn't exactly hold the lazy teammates accountable for showing a lack of effort in their play. Else why be the Face of the Franchise for? MT - bag skate the whole team, esp DD! Drive425

That same injury prone goalie, I think his name was Halak, that's warming up on the bench. when healthy "grabbed the bull by the horns, stood on his head", DICTATED THE PLAY, for his team, and TOOK charge, that produced at least 2 upsets, and Eastern Conference Finals for shot at the CUP! Since then he's regressed, but on another team, in another conference. And the ridiculous fact is that when he lead us during that playoff run "he was only 5'10, 186 lbs.", the guy we have that's supposedly suppose to lead us is "6'3 209 lbs for out 25th" But no he shouldn't have to shoulder the blame, because it's a team game, if the team's playiing like shit, and doesn't know there ass from their, no big boy pants, Price deserves the right to play like shit too! Damn you St. Patrick, why'd you play lights out in '93, why'd you want to win so bad, you should have left all that hard work for the next "great goaltender to MAN the habs net", let him deal with the trouble and the pressure, why'd you deal with it, you still would've got paid large! It's you're fault Roy for wanting to win so bad, that you took charge of the team despite the vets you had on you're Hab teams! Price, you don't have to correct YOUR Team's play,, so what if you have the most important position on the ice, and you're play significantly dictates the outcome of the game, it's not your responsibility to snap at them, if they snooze, you snooze! Good luck in Gm 4 - Price! play it cool, and be calm and collected in maybe Gm 5, or Gm 6, when we're getting shellacked - because it really does depend on whether you're in the mood to win and how the guys in front of you are playing! You can't change their attitude because It's only a 7 gm series right! Drive425

This loss shouldn't be hung on Price, but one thing for sure is "Price isn't a Money-goaltender like St. Patrick". Don't need to compare him, there 2 different personalities, 2 different people, but the latter just WANTS TO WIN SO BAD, that he's willing to punch the other goaltender's face in! Sure, the whole team is at fault here, but Price shouldn't have shown/played with the weakness he did tonight. I"m very tired, as I'm assuming other fans are as well of the Price Pattern " I get my ass whooped, and then the next day I show you that i'm that bad, then I get my ass whooped again....I'm not sure is he going to be great in Gm 4 like he was in Gm 2, maybe who knows, hard to tell" But, i'm not waiting for that day anymore where Price stands on his head, and let's his play do the talking. I really wish he could have done this tonight and grabbed his teammates by the neck and send the message that you're ass better be ready to pay the price to win!. But, cold hard truth is that he doesn't have the cojones to do what Roy did in his hayday, losing in any fashion was downright unacceptable. An example that I can recall is that the year St. Patrick got traded to the Avs, and he lead them to the cup, in the Cup winning game vs the Panthers he stopped 63 shots, got a shutout, and won the cup, I understand that Avs team was STACKED, but he didn't let that get to his head, he let his play do the TALKING!. Price, are you leader, because, you need to own this team, since the vets are doing shit job right now! If you can't then maybe the saying "grab the bull by the horns" rings a bell! Drive425
