And MB's moves yesterday were good ones, my agreement was about the Sekac trade only. Les Canadiens sont la!

P.S. I have no pproblem with DSP, I think he will turn out fine over time. My gripe is with the coach. Les Canadiens sont la!

MJ Could not agree more. The Sekac trade was a blunder! There has to be more behind that action. Given the discretion our club practices, we may never know. I also think it is not a good move on the part of MT to come out and publicly make comments on the conditioning of a brand new arrival to the team. Do not like MT's moves on or off the ice and despite his record, I would prefer to see someone else behind the bench. Les Canadiens sont la!

Johnny Fever, if you are still reading, I suspected there might be a "basher" to my post. It was just speculation , not "groundless accusation", my friend...just speculation. CHeers to a "CH" poster. Ok? Les Canadiens sont la!

Johnny, Rad, Phil c, and yourself, all good come back posts. My comments were not groundless accusations, merely speculation. Afterall, is not this forum for discussing all matters Habs' related in a friendly manner? We are all here for the same thing... the success of our team. My intention was not to be negative, merely speculative and get insight from others who may help temper my thinking. Sorry if this in some way offended you. Let's move on. Like I said before Cheers! Re. The Sekac Pelley Smith trade. Usually, where there is smoke, there is fire. Judging from comments made here and speculation that Sekac was a bit of a party boy,had a rift with Plekanic and Therrien did not like him, I make the following assertions. 1. The instant fan adulation for Sekac from training camp to yesterday went to his head and his immaturity led to his not fitting in with the dressing room. 2. Both Plekanic and Therrien are very serious guys. One of Sekac's early comments was that he wasn't necessarily going to hook up with his fellow Kladno compatriate for guidance and mentorship but with other guys on the team. I am not certain this sat well wit MT or Pleks, 3. None of us know for sure what goes on off the ice and in the room as this club has always kept that kind of stuff private. I would hazard to guess that Sekac made lots of noise about what he considered to be improper handling of his (in his mind) lofty talents. Little tidbits of info coming out now after the fact suggest there is some truth in this. 4. I am willing to bet that Sekac might have come out and said.. play me the way I want to play or trade me! Once again, immaturity on his part. 5. No doubt the guy is a very gifted player and will do very well with the Ducks if he grows up and I think he will. I really like the guy and he has loads of promise in the NHL. Coming to MTL. was an experiment gone wrong. Our brilliant GM, Mr. Bergevin was not lost on all of this. We need a big RW, it's no secret. Our team is a very tight group with what appears to be a lot of winning chemistry. We got our RW and a guy who will probably add to that existing chemistry , Patches comment " We welcome him with open arms". All of the above is what made Sekac expendable..IMHO Welcome to our new incoming guy and farewell to our short lived outgoing guy. Good luck to both, especially for us!! Time will tell. Thanks for reading and I hope I don't get bashed! CHEERS! Les Canadiens sont la!

Hi there you all! Fifty years ago today, my Dad passed away, he was thirty-seven and I was thirteen. We used to take the No. 65 bus from Cote Des Neiges to Atwater (the good old Forum) to watch the Habs. Those were the glory years and aside from 1993, afterwards there have been a lot of up and down seasons, good ones and bad ones. My loyalty has remained intact and from being an outsider, looking in, I have observed that most of you share the same devotion. Today, we are in second place in a league of 30 teams!! Not too shabby. We may not win the cup and yet there is a chance. I for one am just enjoying the ride for as long as it lasts! From where I sit, I see great promise for our club with our current squad and our maturing prospects within a year or two. Who knows? I may be taking the drive down the 401 to see the Parade in Montreal very soon!! Let's enjoy what they give us until that day. Thought I would share this on this nostalgic day. I enjoy all your posts. Happy Sunday! Live in the moment! Les Canadiens sont la!
