funny stat sheet to see Gio being only player on both teams at+1 (everyone else at even)

total zone domination by the Habs...great PP..man bring on the cup, we are for real this year..next game should be easier..regardless of the score games like these make you realize how far we are from contending. Price muddies the water

I get the PK slapper but there has to be more to it than that on the PP...now put Briere on the PP

big habs fan here but if they lose it's because they deserve to lose...no refs no bad luck just no answer...heading to 4 game west coast trip (would be lucky to come back with 4 pts)...playoff picture could be different in 10 days

let's all hold our collective breath that Markov doesn't get hurt in the next 3 weeks, I'm also hoping he and Lars Eller get traded before the deadline - the 2 of them should get us something fine...and go Canada

the non calls against TB on all of the grabbing off PK were bad but the non call on Kadri takes it to another level...how bad can the officiating be..and now Lafs on yet another PP...what a bush league...this game probably will get ugly in a hurry and the refs only have themselves to blame

whoever said that within 2 years we've had wholesale changes at management level with similar results = bingo. you just don't turn this around on a dime.. MT is not the sole responsible but he is not part of the solution. not a huge fan of J Martin but he did have a system adjusted for his team - he did take them to the conference finals (longest run in 20 yrs - not too shabby) as for trades: Markov has to go period (could yield something decent - not great but decent)... also Plecks must go. there will/ should be desperate teams out there (Van, Was, Det- even Chicago) that would, IMO, likely overpay for him as they are bubble or contenders wishing to consolidate....we are just pretenders right now (last year was a mirage and we are free falling) - no point in holding on to him for now as we should get solid pieces to build on...Bourque, Gionta, Diaz and Briere should go but will not bring back anything to build on - just a few side pieces on the positive side this is a great opportunity to accelerate a rebuild as opposed to patching and prolonging the agony of perpetual mediocre teams

Boonie: RE: Thimmins - I think his record is pretty impressive specially considering where the Habs have typically drafted - he's had a few great/ homers type picks (Subban, Pax, and this guy in NY - I think McDonaugh is his name)..also Price, not sure he wanted AK (there was a story there)... MB: still a bit early, MT: couldn't agree more (guy is lost out there). I would see 2 strategies: door #1: some minor trades to try to ignite, door #2: not wholesale but a makeover: trade Markov before his value drops (no point in resigning him, trending down quickly + give Emelin a shot on left with PK), trade Eller or Plecks (Eller will never be more than a 3rd liner that can move to 2nd line occasionally, Plecks is one of my favorite Habs but I would think he could fetch a very decent package and if the future is not now then build for it)....trade Bourque and/or Briere, Diaz.. the risk here is a status quo with the follow up downwards spiral - this is not good for morale (pisses off Price, PK - we need to resign him)...I really think MB needs to do something (coach or player wise - typically one starts with one or a few players before the coach
