The only way for fans to send a serious message would be for an organized boycott to take place once games resume. What would they think ( the owners and players ) if fans didn't show up for opening night? That would make headlines and send the message that fans won't take this crap anymore.

First off, this "process" they keep talking about should be away from the cameras and media coverage. It does nothing except give people like Donald Fehr the opportunity to spew out their propaganda and all it does is end up angering the most important people which in this case are us, the fans. In the end the only way these two sides are going to learn is if the fans come together and stop buying tickets and merchandise so that in future disputes they think of the fans interests before themselves.
