  Is it possible that MB signed DD to a four year contract so that he could trade him? I mean it makes sense if thats the case. As oppose to letting him walk for nothing, MB signs him, then in the off season he can shop him around. Its the only reason that makes sense. MB tells MT to play him a lot and with the best wingers, therefore increasing his value for trade bait. Then you got eller, where MB tells MT to give him the less ice time so his stats and value go down, therefgore allowing MB to sign him for cheaper then he is worth. only thing that makes sense since eller is clearly better. Makes sense?

  I think DD is getting more ice time because the organization is looking to trade him. They are just trying to increase his value by giving him more ice time and good line mates, pp time etc to increase his value. Thats the only thing that makes sense. And if so, then I agree with the decision

  Regardless of these last few games, im more then confident the habs can go deep. Every team hits a bump in the road. Unfortunately for the habs, they have fans that go buck when they hit their bump, so that bump looks like the end of the road... Whoever thinks the habs are not a good team because of these last few games seriously need to get a reality check. This team is good, and I am confident that they can turn things around. GO HABS GO!!!

  Agreed. I dont think this team is nearly s bad as people are making them out to be. It looks really bad because these losses have been blow outs. Im more then confident they can turn it around. This team has a lot of character

  Well in my opinion, I think they still have a just as good of a chance as most teams. Overrated players didnt get the habs into 2nd in the conference, a good team got the habs into second. One of the biggest problems with the fans and this team is that they think the sky is falling when the team hits bad times. Its been three games... We went like 20 games without losing a game in regulation. Im more than positive this team can turn it around.

  I still believe this team is a stanley cup contender. I still believe that this team has a very good chance at winning the cup. Look around the league and tell me how many teams are better than the montreal canadiens. And i am not talking about the canadiens we have seen in the past 3 games or the canadiens that have been playing excellent hockey this whole season. Im talking about the Canadiens that are some where in the middle. I dont think there are a lot of teams that are better than the habs. Chicago, penguins, maybe bruins, anaheim. But overall I still think when you look at all of the teams around the leaugue, I think we have a pretty good shot at making some noise. Habs just need to get back to their system and do what they have been doing well all season
