One of my favourite movies Donnie Darko has great supporting performances by Holmes Osbourne (as Eddie Darko), Mary McDonnell(as Rose Darko), Beth Grant (as Kitty Farmer) and finally Patrick Swayze (as Jim Cunningham) is brilliant. Drew Barrymore's pretty good in it too. Bet ya didn't know Seth Rogen was in it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7Rh5QS8pEk ----------------------------------- It'll always be Habs Inside/Out to me

First off, I believe Eller and Subban will sign without arbitration. I hope this is the case. I cant remember the exact number but I think it was somewhere around 70% of players who go to arbitration dont sign another contract with that same team. ----------------------------------- It'll always be Habs Inside/Out to me

From 2 years ago.... "Gilbert has come into his own this season. He’s consistently made the right play with the puck. He’s a cagey defender, rarely caught out of position. He’s not much of a power play specialist, as he’s lacks a strong shot, but when it comes to getting that puck out of the Oilers zone, he’s extremely capable." http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/2012/02/27/did-the-oilers-make-the-right-move-in-trading-gilbert-to-the-wild-for-schultz/ and here he's shown as being a top 2 defensive guy for Edmonton http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/2012/01/06/smid-gilbert-getting-it-done-in-oilers-zone-but-its-otherwise-bleak-defensively-for-2011-12-oilers/ If he's "far from" being a defensive d-man then MB made a huge mistake here cuz he's not an offensive guy, not a PP guy, so what the hell is he good at then? What you want from a "defensive d-man" is a guy who plays well positionally, can get the puck from the opposition and get it out of the zone. That's basically it in a nutshell. Perhaps the reason Gorges (who I loved btw) blocked a lot of shots is because he wasn't as capable at retreiving the puck any other way. Blocked shots is a positive and negative at the same time. You'd rather the puck not make it to the net, but at the same time you'd rather have the puck on your stick and get it out of the zone. I will admit I don't know a ton about Gilbert but I do know he's not offensive and he was basically brought in to replace Gorges so I'll trust MB on this one. ----------------------------------- It'll always be Habs Inside/Out to me

thats almost the exact lineup I was telling my buddies I'd like to see lol I'd switch Emelin & Markov though, I think Marky needs to see less icetime and needs to be paired with a solid defensive d-man so he's not rushing back to cover. Keep his endurace for the playoffs because he looked worse game by game since the Bruins series. I also think it's time to move Eller up and give him a legit chance to shine and place Pleks in a 3rd line role where he should settle for the rest of his career and be arguably the best 3rd line center in the league. Pacioretty - DD - Gallagher/Parenteau Galchenyuk - Eller - Parenteau/Gallagher Bournival - Plekanec - Bourque Prust - Malholtra - Weise Moen Emelin - Subban Markov - Gilbert Beaulieu/Tinordi - Weaver ----------------------------------- It'll always be Habs Inside/Out to me

this would imply the canucks are giving up and rebuilding whic i dont think is the case. i think the canucks legitimately think they are a playoff team and plekanec is the kind of guy who helps a team get to the playoffs. also, markstrom and lack, while great prospects are not guranteed to do anything at the NHL level. neither is Tokarski but his performance in the playoffs elevates him above those two. and they may not WANT that in return, but thats irrelevant....if it's better than any other offer they get they may take it. ----------------------------------- It'll always be Habs Inside/Out to me
