I don't think this is a series we should take lightly. The Rangers are built very similarly to us. We saw how the speed of Tampa Bay wreaked havoc with the Emelin-Markov pairing (imagine Murray) and the Rangers are just as fast and efficient. Their top-3 defenceman are some of the top in the league (McDoughnut, Girardi, Stall) and their bottom end guys are just as proficient (Stralman, Klein, Diaz, Moore). This is going to be a hard-fought series with a lot of speed, skill, and good goaltending. I wouldn't expect anything easy!

I'm not sure if I've processed the victory yet.....

Love the physicality Murray brought but hated his total lack of puck moving ability. Looking forward to Tinordi. Bournival has been a huge player for us in this series so far. Weise and Moen look great out there, some great defensive and physical plays (not to mention the breakaway). Emelin-Markov were struggling again. Dream Weaver would look awesome as a #7D next year. What a pick up by Bergevin. The top lines are kind of "meh" for me. Both could be making a bigger impact on the game than they have. I think Bourque "Space Jam-ed" Pacioretty's mojo. Patch has been an embarrassment so far, both sides of the puck. My boy Price has been all-world, awesome to see.

Subban. Norris winner. Franchise cornerstone. Dangerous teammate. Breakaway specialist.

    I think I'm a believer.

I tried to convert as many locals as I could while I was living in Germany. They do seem to prefer soccer though.... Something about the total lack of excitement on the field always had me watching Classic Habs replays by the end of the night....

Not from Gravelbourg, no. I've lived all over the place but, like many French Canadian's from Saskatchewan, I've got relatives in all the primary communities there. Can't say I'm still in touch with anyone though, mostly just distant cousins.

If there's one thing that's really bothered me so far this playoffs it's our defence. A d-corps that struggles with mobility and moving the puck is not a successful d-corps (IMO). It is so easy to exploit our defence pairings if the opposing forwards have any modicum of speed or physicality - I think that needs to change. Lacking Mobility: Emelin, Markov, Murray, Bouillon Lacking Physicality: Markov, Gorges, Weaver, Bouillon Lacking Puck-Moving Ability: Murray, Bouillon, Weaver, Emelin, Gorges BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE, we have an in-grown solution: good drafting. I sincerely hope Nygren, Beaulieu, and Tinordi are given an opportunity to play next year. Our transition is weak, our PP is horrible, and we struggle to play against physical forwards. These are all issues these young players can help address and I hope our coaching staff sees that. It's a shame they can't help now.

I don't think White is the right guy for this series. Habs have done a wonderful job of not playing the Bruins game. They've limited the damage of post-whistle scrums, they've kept the tone of the game at a pretty even keel, avoided injuries, and not let the Bruins intimidate them into playing stupid and taking penalties. You get one guy (White) who isn't able to handle his emotions and the whole strategy falls apart. I have zero faith in White's ability to keep it in check. I'm not sure I see him coming back next year.

The future of NHL broadcasting is grim. Have you tried watching a full Sportsnet segment? It's an absolute gong show (and not as high quality as the Gong Show).
