IMO the habs need to build down the middle. Pleks is a good 2nd liner, and DD is good, but not that center that can bring you to a Cup. This is the Habs chance to draft and big center, who is capable of scoring 100 pts. As for Jordan Staal, it's widely believed that he wants to play with his brother in Carolina. If the Habs acquired him, it would probably only be a rental, as he is UFA after next season. I wouldn't trade this pick for JVR or Ryan.
