My wife made me sit & watch Long Island Medium.....I'm sure there's a joke there somewhere about Desharnais's career communicating from beyond the grave. - Comment on Bergevin finalist for NHL's GM of the Year Award; Subban joins Team Canada

We all have our list of dream UFAs for MB to sign this summer. One problem that keeps getting overlooked; how do you make Mtl an attractive destination? "Hello potential UFA. How would you feel about playing hockey in a town where you are under constant scrutiny in a fishbowl and where you'll be taxed up that wazoo?" I love the Habs but MB is going to have to be a damn good used car salesman to bring in some talent. IMO I can't see massive headwound Horton coming on board. I think he's pretty comfortable playing on an established contender. - Comment on Eller/Habs meet with media for final time this season (Video)
I'd like to give Boone and all you boys & girls who've regularly contributed to HIO this year a big thanks. I usually lurk around on the sidelines but I thoroughly enjoy all your comments & insight....both good & bad. You're a great bunch. Question; how important do you think it is keeping character guys on board? I mean, a guy like Armstrong flies below the radar most nights but what if he's a crucial part of promoting the team mentality in the dressing room? MacLean mentioned in the Ottawa media recently that he kept Kassian in the lineup because he didn't want to disrupt the gel that the team had developed. - Comment on About this season ... and next season ... and the one after that ...
That depends; do you think we can use any of them as trade bait to get rid of their contracts? The Calgary dump could probably use one of them. - Comment on About this season ... and next season ... and the one after that ...

Great summary Habs! I think you’ve made some great points. Moen is an old war horse but he’s not up to the task anymore. Pleks does a lot of little things right but I think the Habs need someone to do the big things better. I’m conflicted about Gionta, I think he brings a lot of character and leadership into the locker room that goes unnoticed to “Joe Fan”. I think Tinordi and Beaulieu need a bit of time to mature further but the future is looking pretty good.
