  When did Bergevin ever mention that his goal was to make the playoffs this year???? From what I understand his goal was to improve the team so that it can eventually compete for a cup and not put a bunch of bandaids together and try to squeeze into 7th or 8th spot! If just making the playoffs is the goal, then this regime is no different than the last! Rome wasn't built overnight and we all need to be patient and give Bergevin a minimum of 3 seasons before making any sort of judgement. I for one think that he is moving in the right direction, and building a contender through good drafting and player development.

  Galchenyuk shouldn't be rushed into the NHL... I understand that he's a special talent, but he also hasn't played much in the past year! I would give him a chance to earn a spot in pre season and then take it from there. If he cracks the lineup, I believe we have 10 games or so before we cam still send him down to Juniors. I don't think that the AHL is even an option at this point!

  Are you guys for real?????? The main thing that came out of Molson's mouth when he hired Bergevin is that they are looking to have a team that can compete for the CUP and not just squeeze into the playoffs... Based on what we have right now in terms of talent, size and skill, this year will be interesting! Chances are the majority of our lineup will be fairly young and inexperienced and they will start to grow together! I think that the playoffs are a longshot, but team chemistry should start improving and it will be a great step towards rebuilding a team that needs to step out of the shadows of the garbage that we've called the Canadiens over the last 30 years!!!
