Todd's a total whiner - what purpose do his comments serve other than to further alienate someone who's had trouble finding his groove / making the transition from one totally different environment to another. And you feel the need to "copy & paste" this kind of negativism, regurgitating something that should have been left behind with the rest of (yesterday's) trash ? What is it about this town - once people get on someone ... They're like dogs. WTF's wrong with going to Maui anyway? *********************************************************** Some of us grew up in an era - when the boards were all white; the game was just as clean (players respected each other) and yer Habs (my friends), brought home the cup with a great degree of regularity!

Jack works for the Gazette - not HIO. The minute one clicks a link, opens a page (online or in print) and sees Jack "the consummate whiner" Todd's name at the head of a story ... You pretty much know what you're gonna get! Once he "narrows" his sights in on someone in the sports world (PG in this space of time) he totally obsessed to the point of nausea! Get some rest my man and will someone please ask Jack to do the same ... As in give it a rest! ________________________________________________________ Some of us grew up in an era - when the boards were all white; the game was just as clean (players respected each other) and yer Habs (my friends), brought home the cup with a great degree of regularity!

Interesting how you say " the present kinda sucks" Mike when all you sports media types here on HIO and the Gazette spend far too much time in the future - calculating how many games we need to win this week , all this crap about four point games ... %'s, how many games we gotta win (ad nauseum ). Why don't you guys just get back to "reporting" the facts on what happens on a given night like Pat Hickey does and leave it at that. Personally, I'm getting fed up about your collective whining. You guys ( and a lot of others on this site) simply dwell on the negatives - when in actuality, there are a lot of positives ... Like this ... http://www.hockeyfights.com/fights/108928 I'm not a big advocate for fighting but it's a necessary evil in a sense - for teams to know that there are some guys that go on the Habs. Cole, Paciorretti, Desharnais ..Eller, Emelin ... There's a lot to be excited about. I'll choose to focus on the positives, knowing that the Habs will go on a bit of a run - and it won't take too much of a streak to move up to where we need to be ... There's still a full half season left. After reading Stub-zees,Todd-skees and now this moron (who hails from a town that hasn't won a cup since 1926-27 http://www.ottawacitizen.com/sports/Habs+best+before+date+long+gone/5998176/story.html ... It appears our friendly scribes who invaded my friendly Mon morning newspaper are stealing a page from Herb Zurkowski's book on sports journalism (or should I say negativism!). Hello people! We're only 8 points out of a playoff spot with a full half season to play, we just beat one of the top teams in our conference, have proven we can handle pretty much any team, have been absolutely snake bit with injuries, one goal games (often times decided by inept judgement on the part of referees and a so called war room ( that's manned by idiots from TO toting pop-guns ) ... Hey ,the teams showing signs of turning things around and despite all the negativism that seems to permeate the lower crust of so called knowledgable fans and the Gazette these days - this team WILL make the playoffs. Stop looking at the entire sum of games ahead Stub-zees, get behind the team people - " take it one game, one period, one shift at a time ..." as Hal Gill said so wisely when some jerk asked him about how things 'd look a month from now if ... With the likes of the falling Leafs, the global warming of the Penguins, the Buffulo (Sabres) falling off the cliff like herds of Buffulo before them, water in the Jets fuel tank ... It ain't over till it's over! Common denominator amongst all on this list? They were ALL head cases - the team was happy to see go - with the exception of the Wiz - and we already were about to dump 5 million on another guy with wonky knees! Some of us grew up in an era - when the boards were all white - the game was just as clean and yer Habs ( my friends) were still a scoring machine!

You might be right (and u are) about the.720 stuff - but the season over? Gimme a break. Remember that season with Carbo a few years back? We tanked in December and then ... You are pretty good with arithmetic dude - but your hockey sense seems a little dulled by your pessimistic attitude lol. There are a lot of positives associated w this team right now ... Time will tell but (and remember you heard it here first) this team WILL turn things around and WILL make the playoffs. Back to last night's game. Wish the boneheads in the so-called "war room" in Toronto could get things straight. If you look closely at the replay on the second "gift" goal - you'll see one of the TB players muttering in Bergeron's ear .. And you just KNOW he's saying it was tipped. This happened against Boston too - was it Krejci that kicked that one in? - you could see all the Bruins snickering after the call - visibly trying to keep a / straight faces as the ref is about to drop the puck. What a joke. It's just a shame to see games decided this way. Surely the NHL can afford the kind of technology that'll allow theses morons in TO to get it right - cause seriously this is bush league. If my layman eye can see clearly that the puck was redirected (ever so slightly) on Bergie's shot ... And what about that Bruins Boot a few weeks ago? it's sad.
