- Comment on Canadiens legend Jean Béliveau dies at age 83 (2014-12-03 02:36:18)
Love reading stories of fans who have interacted with Mr. Beliveau over the years. I think i'll share the one brief meeting I had with him as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Beliveau in Fredericton, back when the farm team played here. I bumped into him in the stairwell at the arena and was dumbfounded when I saw him. Not being too bright, I proceeded to talk to Mr. Beliveau. In French. Keep in mind I don't speak French. He gave me a big smile and then replied back to me, asking me something. I didn't answer back because i had no clue what he had just said. He quickly realized the short French I used was all i knew. He then paused, smiled at me, and started talking in English, asking me about the game, the players, smiling the entire time. I remember walking away after our brief chat thinking wow, that man is all class.

$11,021.51 Fine for Emelin. That extra 51 cents really nailed it to him. personally, i still think he should have been suspended...probably because of his crappy play lately.

I've seen the Emelin hit many times now, and i'm convinced he deserves to be suspended for it. Primary hit was to the head, doesn't matter if Gionta is small. Emelin knew what he was hitting. Deserves 4-5 games in my opinion, which isnt too bad considering he's been playing horrible lately anyways.

Good overall effort tonight. The 7 defenseman is ridiculed by the pundits who think they know hockey, but are relegated to talking about it on TV rather than coaching or managing in the NHL anymore (Doug Maclean for example). Its working. Keep doing it. Simple. Love Mike Boone and his comment "It has the analytics weenies scratching their heads." Perfect. #1 in the NHL. I'm enjoying this.

#1 in the NHL right now. Gotta love it.

My 2 cents from last night's game; I'm not a guy that usually complains after a loss. There wasn't much to take as a positive though. There are some glaring problems I see; Subban needs to be better. Dumb penalties and bad defensive play. he knows he needs to be better. When you put Weise on the top line because at a point he was the only player with any energy, you know you have a problem. Price can't do everything. This guy is a rock star the way he plays, but his defense is hanging him out to dry. Enough of the Sekac nonsense. yes, he needs to play. We need a change and despite his defensive gaps, can hopefully add some energy. He is not the saviour to our offensive woes though. He wasn't a top scorer in the KHL, and won't be here either. I suspect one of two things tonight; either the Habs light it up against the Sabres and the players get some confidence back, or they get their asses kicked and everyone screams for Therrien to be fired. Its not time to panic..yet.

We got lucky on that one. Most nights that one is called for goalie interference. I'll take it though! Go Habs Go!

Here's an orignial thought; How about we keep cheering the team on instead of complaining all the time. The game isnt over yet. Yes we are struggling to score. All teams do at times. Have faith.
