Hey HIO members in Quebec. My daughter is majoring in French in university. She is currently working on a project for her Aspects of French Canada course. Part of her project is to find out what Quebecers think of notorious English Canadian individuals. The person she was given to research is Don Cherry. Since this is a hockey related website, I’m sure most if not all members know who he is however I’d still like to invite only the Quebec HIO member to tell me if they know who this individual is and what they think of him.

- Comment on St. Patrick’s Day at Bell Centre; Habs send Bournival to Hamilton for conditioning (2014-03-17 16:39:50)
I've stayed at 5 or 6 different hotels over the past 12 years for our annual trip. We prefer the Marriott Chateau Champlain as it's the closest to the Bell Centre since you can walk there underground however not on the way back...but he Novotel is nice too. If you're only going to the game I recommend Chateau Champlain but if you want to stay close to rue Ste-Catherine for some night life, the Novotel is better.

Nice writing there John...it made me laugh. I liked it so much, I had to share it with a couple of none HIO readers. Keep em coming. I'll be sure to look up your future writings...

I agree...he's an idiot and an embarrassment to the CBC. I caught the same thing as you did. I'm wondering if while he was saying this he started to realize what he was saying didn't make much sense but he couldn't back out of it. Doh!!!
- Comment on About last night … (2012-01-19 13:22:19)
Sorry but I missed the game last night as I was in attendance at a Habs oldtimers game here in Brampton last night. The proceeds of the game went to the William Osler Health Centre. It was fun and entertaining to see what these veteran players can still do...albeit they're much much slower than they used to be. They made the other team (Dr's, nursing staff etc...) look REAL bad but it was all in fun. Got to meet the players after the game and Ron Wicks. It's a day I won't forget.

Why don't we let the fans decided if we need a fluently bilingual coach. I say they should put ballot boxes at the Bell Centre for the next 5 games or so and tally up the votes. They could then publish the results. If the results are that a fluently bilingual coach isn't necessary as long as we win then that should shut the media up however if the results show the opposite, then they know what the fans want (the fans are the ones who help pay for the players' and the management's salaries).

I say send down Weber to the Bulldogs and keep Diaz on the bench as a 7th defenceman or an alternate forward.

As much as I don't like this trade, I prefer your reply compared with most of the rest. We can whine and complain all we want but to me it's a waste of time...it's a a lot better than being a fan of the Leaves.
