Well, Louis Leblanc scored his first in the second period - and then saw less than a minute of playing time in the third against the Pronger-less and Giroux-less Flyers. A coach with a little offensive creativity could have woven Louis through three lines while he was pumped and inspired to play - instead of leaving him to get cold on the bench. Martin does not possess that offensive creativity in his coaching arsenal. BAD time to bench a rookie player, in front of that Louis-friendly crowd, filled with family and friends. These things have a tendency to come back and bite you, and that was Martin's last straw. "Talent is a gift from God, but you only succeed with hard work." ~ Jean Beliveau

Isn't Paul Maurice bilingual? Granted, he seems to have a shelf life of about 2.5 years, but Eric Cole would be happier, and the team would have offensive numbers to add to a pretty stingy defense. Two and a half years of Maurice would be better - and more fun to watch and listen to - than 2 more years of Jack Martin.
