I completely agree. If a move is made, I imagine that MB will continue his long-term approach. The Ryder move was a smart long-term move too, even though he's in his last year. I can't see us, nor do I want us to get a rental. I like the build that's already underway. - Comment on GM Bergevin must be smiling
I completely agree. I like Cole a lot. But what bothered me the other day, was his nonchalance on the Ranger goal. Sure everyone sort of stopped playing, but Cole was right there and could have (in my non-hockey playing opinion) stopped the rebound chance. - Comment on GM Bergevin must be smiling
I just posted a comment similar to this. With DD, Pacioretty, and Gallaghar back together. And Galchenyuk, Eller, and Prust together (I see this line as a better version of the Eller, Moen, Kostitsyn line). And Cole on the 4th with Moen and either Armstrong or White. I never really liked Armstrong. In fact, I don't like him at all. But he seems nice. Like Mathieu Darche. - Comment on GM Bergevin must be smiling
I'm on this site every day, and I always go through the comments. I've posted a couple of times, but very rarely. I had a thought regarding Cole, and wanted to get some opinions on it. When Gallagher comes back from injury. He, DD, and Pac were awesome together. Chucky, Lars, and Prust look really good too. Pleks, Bourque, and Gionta are the most consistent even though I'm not sure Gionta's into it that much. What are the chances they'll play Cole on the fourth line with Moen and Armstrong/White. We can keep Cole on the PP too, I like him in front of the net. Anyways, just a thought. - Comment on Canadiens name Therrien coach
I'm with you. Passion is what will make the difference. Last year's team (and the previous two seasons) played like their management and coach. With JM and Gainey, it was calculated and precise (with mixed results). With RC and The Ghost, it was confusing (with terrible results). This management team and coach seem to be on the same page - which is always a good thing. I think this is part of bringing back an identity for the Habs, which has been missing for a long, long time. I think Therrien will be good for the Habs this year and next. And there will be someone like Bylsma who can build on what what Therrien preaches when the Habs are really ready to contend. I wasn't a fan of the choice, but I can understand it. And that's reason for optimism. - Comment on Lockout ahead?/Devils square with Rangers
Here's a general Habs question. With the almost certainty of Rick Dudley coming to us. Has he done anything at an executive level worth mentioning? I'm not sure I'm entirely sold. But then again I don't know too much about him. And I guess he and Bergy are buds. (By the way, I read this site all the time, but this is only my second or third post - you guys are awesome). - Comment on Leblanc a nice, round number for Habs – with audio
While I don't necessarily agree that Gallagher is a good fit for the Habs just yet - I 100% percent agree that watching Darche play is painful. He seems like a great guy, and he is a hard worker - but maybe that should translate into an assistant coaching gig. Seeing him on the PP makes me hurt on the inside. He's just doesn't have the skill to do anything but skate up and down the ice. Which, he is very good at.
