Prust has been fine but he's definitely not a long term solution in the top 9 I agree. --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22

Big difference between Sekac Prust and Bourque Prust if you can't see that you're a degenerate. --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22

That was it. Standard organizational move to make sure DD looks good. Really can't understand with all the line shuffling that goes on we've not once had EGG back together or Pacioretty Desharnais mixed up. --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22

Davey and Max's "chemistry" is the biggest farce... Pacioretty could learn from Eller and Sekac how to use his speed and his body to protect the puck instead he's trying to make these soft playmaking set ups all the time when he's the worst passer....stick to shooting and skating and he's an animal. DD and Paranteau...man I'm 100% confident Bournival is better than both of them in each of their roles and he's only really played as a LW to this point --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22

Sekac is a stud there's no doubt. But Eller is also a great player. See what happens when you give Eller a winger who can actually play the game, not Bourque and Prust. They're still playing tough minutes without PP time (minus the tail end where they scored last...and hey Beaulieu was on not Gilbert, would you look at that). Don't tell me Lars can't score 20 goals in a year that's a joke. But I believe it's a matter of time until Therrien moves Sekac away from Eller seems to be the way he operates. Gonchar on the right side? Not bad at all last night. Therrien is the biggest wild card - you assume he's going to do something dumb like ice Gonchar for 18 minutes but then he goes out and does something dumber than you could of ever imagined. Maybe he'll be out there killing penalties over Subban, nothing is out of the realm of possibility with Therrien --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22

I like the Gonchar deal from a depth standpoint it gives options at the deadline even he can likely be flipped for a pick anywhere from 5th - 2nd depending on the year he has. To say he should help the PP doesn't make a lot of sense to me. He won't be replacing PK or Markov who are both better options. Clearly the system and the first unit not being able to win a battle to save their life have been the issue (Pac - DD - PAP). How Therrien continues to ice them as the undisputed #1 unit is hilarious. Eller - Sekac can score in 7 consecutive games while playing the toughest competition and still not see a sniff of PP time. We saw it with Eller last year leading the team in points still got no PP opportunities in the playoffs....with Bourque demotion it was about results with that first unit who knows.... Therrien picking and choosing who to apply his mantras to, just another example. --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22
  • Comment on Habs’ Bournival will make season debut vs. Blackhawks; Sekac a healthy scratch again (2014-11-04 14:15:45)
I don't think it's a shocker, he's not an offense first guy like a Hudon or Andrighetto who are way more skilled. He needs to develop his O in the AHL while playing with good players. DLR has what it takes to crack the lineup in a 2-way role if the offense doesn't come so nothing to be overly worried about. --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22

It has nothing to do with Sekac he played really well and scored a big goal vs Boston the last game he played. It's simply Therrien over-relying on veterans and failing to evaluate talent. Weise and Prust have both spent time on the wing w/ Davey Pacioretty who are Therriens #1 Line. That tells you enough about MT's decisions. We can't try and understand them. --------------------------------- Lars, PK, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Emelin, Bournival, De La Rose - @J_Perez22
