  First off, ill say i liked the move PG made. Everyone out there will complain about salary like they did with the Cole signing but at the end of the day he fills a need for our squad and can still move the puck effectively. In fact, i would say he is currently our best puck mover from the back end, hands down. Yesterdays game for me was one of those ones like the loss to calgary, pittsburgh (first one), and anaheim. Aside from the powerplay opportunities it seemed like we had little to no chances. I have no idea why this team, or the coach has them play a game that so heavily displays a dump and chase. Aside from time to time where DD isnt the first man in, that line can try that method. For when martin doesnt want to breakup line 1b, eller-kost-moen, they can do it . But honestly, why is a team with this type of speed and skill not emphasize quick puck movement from the back end with a puck possession strategy. Too many useless dumpins, sloppy passes. And not breaking out as a unit. Alot of these items reflect coaching. Its so sad that are season will continue to be a win one, lose one or two, win one pattern. Get this outdated, obsolete, robot of a coach with no sense of adapting/being creative his ticket out oftown. If not mediocrity will ensue. As for the D, lets not even assume Markov comes back. And for the love of God, end this whole , throw whichever D we callup to 4th line winger duties. Your telling me michael blunden wouldnt be more effective than this flawed JM logic. Even poor Louie. Why have a guy who will not be a career 4th liner have to develop with grinders/stooges with no offensive upside. JM is pulling another make shift pacioretty experiment, its unacceptable for a first round pick. No doubt weber needs to be a scratch, his shit isnt even that great to be kept for PP. Sure he can coordinate a onetimer and its accurate. But always along the ice and no variation. Secondly ifeel diaz has regressed a little it since his first 5-10 games. This whole, stopping and waiting when going back in his own end to almost like post-up an oncoming forechecker is rediculous. Get to the puck as quick as possible and get moving! Wow how isnt that logic. And the whole cock-back every time he gets the puck in the o-zone is rediculous as well. Quick decision making needs to be passed on to him. Trying to more quickly get his shot off, it takes way too long. And also, what happened to him rushing the puck and usig his speed, an asset that brought him into this league. Now it seems to be a slower skate out of from his own end, slowing down and then telegraphing a pass. Drives me nuts the talen and young core we have on this team andthe lack of effectiveness. Believe it or not we can call this team healthy. We cant use markov as an excuse because we havent steadily had him in the lineup for two years. For now ill back off from commenting on cammalleri, who once was my favourite player on the team, and to a lesser degree pleks and gionta.

  Holy f**********k gomez instead of eller at centre. Fine, ive given up on martin having any clue in terms of what works on offense. But it cannot be hard to see how much more Eller is a presence in our own end supporting our D and providing back pressure on the backcheck. Come on, wow! Just destroying eller on the LW with gomez and moen. Just gross. Why dont we just randomly put weber in to centre the fourth line. Id say theres equally as much logic there. I wish JM could have a Q n A day with an HIO appointed rep.

  So im not crazy in thinking eller is getting screwed. I love dooey (desharnais), and nothing to take away from him but if eller played with the gus dooey has, eller wouldnt disappoint. I just hope JM doesnt destroy him or turn him into some careeer 3rd liner. He has a tonne of skill (look at that snipe against boston on home ice this year, and is Strong on the puck in the corners qith good hands) The reality is gomez isnt going anywhere via trade, buyout, minors or demotion to 4th line. He looks so good at being bad and ineffective. Gain the zone great. Bust back to the bench and change. So if thats the case throw Doeey on the wing and role pleks, eller and gomeZ down the middle.   Can someone help me rationalize the following: - The PP which is usually an asset has been in the bottom quarter of the league for how long, but JM refuses to change anything (i.e., pleks on point, subban on first wave, eller any time at all) -why does eller always get the shaft, at thia rate if the poor guy doesnt raise his voice, he'll end up in hamilton it seems if it were up to JM I truly believe Eller is one of our best all around players, when ha he gotten to play centre and with skilled wingers for morethan a period. Look how effective he is when the moen and kostitsyn combination is in effect. No other player has made a line as offensively effective woth moen, dating back to last year whenthey played together Ultimately the players have to play, but honestly, we have the makings of a solid hckey team, but for me it seems JM just has no clue how to arrange his talen. Hes stuck in his ways and lacks any creativity offensively.
