  good post ... awesome last paragraph I would disagree on one point though ... the Bruins are up 3-2 on the season series but the goal differential is even which is a great stat for the habs considering what the Bruins have done to other teams and the fact that they are +69 ... I bet if you asked the Bruins who they wouldn't want to play in the first round they would say Montreal Membership since 1970

  which team was the last team to tank and then win a cup? I can only think of the Penguins losing on purpose to get someone as good as Mario Lemieux and even then they didn't do much until they traded for guys like Coffey, Trottier, Francis, Samuellson, Tocchet, Murphy, Mullen ... I guess I just don't understand advocating tanking when there is so little past history to say it would gaurantee anything ... if anything, there is so much proof to substantiate that drafting 18 year olds is a crap shoot and that goes for every scouting department in the league, not only the Habs' Membership since 1970
