Agreed! He's the only one not wearing his Leaf jersey under those suits!

The HNIC pregame show makes me happy to have a mute button on the remote!!! Sickening!

That was every bit as good as a playoff win .... perhaps two!!! When Gallagher scored that dandy goal, one that reflects so well his worth ethic and keen hockey sense, I shouted so loud I scared everyone in the room! (We're visiting my senior parents this weekend .... "oops, we might have to jump start that pacemaker there Father!")

The playoffs definitely start tonight. A win is crucial because if they lose they have to face the Leafs on Tuesday having lost 4 of 5 and at a huge psychological disadvantage. A win also puts pressure on the Bruins to take 3 of 4 points in their last two games .... and they haven't exactly been tearing' up the league.

It depends upon how you define "tough". In this neck of the woods it has less to do with fighting ability and more to do with your ability to jump up when you have been knocked down.

I think Georges is hurt. Has anyone on that team had his head rattled as often as he? He jumps back up and keeps playing...definitely one of the toughest guys in the league.

I've been following this team for most of my 55 years and I've had my share of joy and disappointments as a Habs fan. As Ian Cobb alluded to in a post yesterday, this season has been a pleasant surprise for most of us and we were expecting more of the same as the teams ramped up for playoffs. Unfortunately, the depth of the current team is evident as we see how key injuries have unravelled them. I believe there are a few walking wounded who are pushing through but are nowhere near the top of their game. Regarding the goaltending, no one can be happy with Price's play at the moment. I have never had a lot of confidence in the lad since I saw him during the shoot out at the world juniors, but I'm pleased to see him play well and probably too critical when he fails. I've played a lot of hockey - but I'm certainly not an authority - especially when it relates to the toughest position to play, but when you shoot on a guy, you always prefer he be down. If he's on his knees he will not be able to move laterally nearly as quickly and is vulnerable up high. Price is a big guy and covers a fair bit of the net, even when he is down, but he has relied upon this technique for such a long time and no doubt his opponents try to exploit it. When he's challenging the shooter he is an imposing figure and the shots just hit him ...but he seems to be lacking confidence and is playing far too deeply these days. He's down for 90% of the goals scored on him and the guys are trying to overcompensate, which leads to more screening and more difficulty seeing the puck .... and on it goes. On a positive note, we'll see at least 4 playoff games and the D should look pretty strong in years to come.
