Well, the first sacrificial lamb was used up, before the coach or GM. Hopefully that will appease the vampires (its halloween, isn't it?) that are calling for blood. I'm not saying that firing him was wrong, its just it looks like a move calling for more time. I still believe we will lose some pretty big players if this keeps going on. We've lost, but have we looked so bad doing it? Florida, Buffalo, Colorado, even the second Leafs game we didn't look too bad.

I guess management decided to stir the soup a bit, hoping to get something going. I think the main problem with this team is the defense (not goalie). We have problems holding leads, and I've never seen so many missed assignments out there. Opposing players in front of the net, with no D near them. Emelin, Diaz, and Weber are doing the best they can, they really are. But they're in over their heads. Last night, Diaz was trying to move the puck out of his zone with Grabovski and another Leafs player in two passing lanes, and Diaz really looked like he had no idea where to pass it. We need Spacek and Campoli back, I'm afraid to say. They aren't the best out there, but they have experience, and that's what we're missing. (First post BTW, love the site)
