Although I'm excited for tonight's game, I don't know what possessed me to go read pre-game comments on TSN. It took 3 leafs fans comments to decide that I'd rather gouge my eyes out than read more. I know sports fans can sometimes be arrogant and overly confident about their team's chances at winning a game, but only leafs fans push it to a delusional level. Never have I seen so many fans claim such superiority based on one decisive win. If their is a greater force in the universe that can influence the outcome of the game, please help the Habs tonight. I don't want to feel frustrated and down around friends and family... plus it would be nice to send that scum (leafs fans) back to the holes they came out from. That's my rant :D ... Go Habs Go!

Good day for the future of the Canadiens' Cap. Starting to wonder though... what's going to happen if Cole decides to retire at the end of the year? Even bigger question mark will be Bourque's performance. We could be stuck with two massive places to fill on the top two line (1st line RW & 2nd line LW). It might be time to consider shipping off one of our three current centers (Desharnais, Plekanec, Eller) at year's end.

I see your point. With a third overall pick we should be acquiring an offensive powerhouse. I just thought Jordan Stall to prevent me from going off into Habs Dreamland where the likes of Datsyuk, and Malkin are skating about.

Agree with the raise coming his way next year, which can be risky, although I don't see his contract going over 5.5 mil (potentially 6). He's no offensive star, although he can score goals (25 in 62 games this season) and is great defensively. Give him Gionta on the wing and I think they can do some damage. Going back to salary... It'll take some good work to move our salary stars* out and about, but if done properly, we can afford Stall, Price, Subban, Pacioretty & Desharnais (future contracts), and so on...

Whenever we talk about the draft, it seems as though most are in agreement that we need to satisfy our center needs. With Grigorenko's poor playoff performance, and simply not being completely sold on Galchenyuk and Forsberg, I see our draft pick being open to trade. One of the few trades I'd agree to/propose is J. Staal for our first rounder (maybe a few other throw-ins on each side). He's 6'4, 220 lbs, 23 years old, has improved every year, and has been playing in the shadows of Crosby and Malkin for a few years. Pittsburgh is also going to be encountering salary problems in the near future, opening up the doors to trade one of their centers away. Too many centers in MTL... as much as i love the guy, plekanec becomes subject to trade (maybe get a D.P for mid-late first round). Have a good one guys.
