1.) DD clearly, terrible decision. He was brutal to start the year and he's gone from brutal to invisible. When was the last time he won a puck battle? 2011? 2) Gorges 6 year dealio was PG 3) I'm still happier to have the money off the books last year, than cole pouting about the ice 3 part 2) Drewiske was a swing and a miss 4) Markov was PG 5) Fine, I agree, but the cost was insane. 2 2nds for Murray? I'll pass. 6) No doubt on PK, should have gone long term, decent cost when we had the chance. No it'll be a 6/7+++ contract to get him to stay. 7) Therrien... meh? he's instilled a drive to win, but his favouritism is sure getting old. Why isn't DD's ass stapled to the bench? Why can his pets make mistake after mistake, and be sent out repeatedly. 8) yes, a viscious player of our own would be nice.

To try and lighten things up a little around here, did anyone catch PK's interview on HNIC before the game? When the reporter asked him,"How do you look forward to matching up againsta Norris Winner in Karlsson?" PK responded with, "Well, you know, my first games were in the playoffs, this is how I learned to play" then skated off. If that wasn't a real life, Bane to Batman, I've never seen it. PK: I was born in the flames of the playoff, you've merely adopted them. So lucky to have a player like PK (and chucky/gally/eller) on our team. The future is bright, regardless of what happens in this series.

This whole PK thing is becoming exceedingly frustrating. There is zero reason for the franchise to low-ball their best prospective Dman for the next 10 years, based on what, morals? or just inane hope? While Markov may better PK right now, in 2 years when Markov (if still healthy) is slowing down or requiring a 35+ contract, is there any doubt that PK would be #1? No. And yet, we are pushing away the most exciting young player to come around for quite a while. This is really looking more and more like a character attack than anything else. This summer will shed a lovely light on this whole situation. Let's see just how firmly Bergevin sticks to his 'RFA must sign a bridge' gimmick, once it's homeboy Desharnais that requires a new contract. Without a doubt our psuedo 1st line center will get his money, while our legit top-D continues to get low-balled, and ostrasized for not being thrilled at the scraps that the team is offering him.

Sorry If I didn't see this posted before, I didn't have time to scan the whole thread. Anyone have a guess how the media would have reacted to PK doing what Yak did after scoring a goal? Dregger (!) even coming out and saying it's great to see that enthusiasm! Garunteed, if that was PK (cough* arrow move *cough) doing something like that, he would be labelled an arrogant POS who needs to learn some respect, and treat the game with some levity. Interesting to think, that in 2013, despite all of our 'equality' Yak is praised for doing the exact same thing that PK is eaten alive for.

Hey, although I don't post that often, I'm an avid reader. My wife and I would love to go to a Bulldogs summit. Of course a saturday night game is preferable.

I defer to your much greater knowledge regarding prospects, but I do remember reading a blurb about Slepyshev. It was regarding that he had recently signed a 2 year deal with a KHL team, the precluded his coming over. Combine that with the CBA rule that if a player is not signed within 2 years of his draft, he simply re-enters the draft... any team that would have drafted him, was garunteed to have wasted a pick.. as he will simply reenter the draft at 20.

Just a quick point about TomNickle's arguement. He is saying we are safe on Subban's front, as we are a rich team. Well, Brett Wilson (same dude that was on Dragon's Den) recently bought a stake in Nashville, and stated that cash flow will never be an issue for the team. Brett Wilson's wealth far far far exceeds that of the Molson's. Hence, if it's an issue for them... it could certainly be an issue for us.
