If only Niewendyk was still in Dallas, we could've sent him DD for Oleksiak at the draft table _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture - Comment on About last night ...
With a rookie Dman callup from the Dogs.... _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture - Comment on About last night ...
Ain't gon' hap'n, Cap'n. The fact that we ended up 2nd in the East clouded the fact that we're not built for playoff hockey. Good enough to get in, not enough to get through. And that prohibits us from snatching a high pick like Pulock . Maybe a Morrissey or a Hagg if we go for a Dman. _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture - Comment on Subban a finalist for Norris Trophy
Congrats Subban for the nod, you're in serious discussion to actually get the hardware, and for me you are this team's MVP. Thanks for a great season, abolish the Senate. _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens win 3-1, tie series
I didn't see the game live because I had to attend a special evening yesterday, but on my way there I listened to the radio broadcast. My heart stopped when they said there was a pool of blood and that Lars seems to be vomiting blood. Now that they say he was released from hospital, the only concern I have is about the long term effects. We all know he's built tough, replaced his own shoulder in the Boston series in between shifts, and so one and so forth. But I really wish he's gonna be okay. He just comes after PK for me on this team as a favourite player, yes even last year. Now, I'm probably gonna go to hell for this, but as soon as I read that he's out of the hospital, I couldn't help but imagine him looking in a mirror in front of a nurse and just grinning: ''Meh.....I had no business being that pretty anyway''. That made me chuckle, that's the way I cope. We need to obliterate the senate tonight. We need to burn the helmets off their sweaters. Don't give them anything. But take from them everything. Crash. Bang. Bruise. Shoot. Score. And harpoon the mustache off that bugeyed walrus. _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture - Comment on Mike Boone the guest on new HIO show
This is Daniel F. you're talking about. He's at home at the Phone Booth. If we wanna win, we need to have an old couple hand him flyers between shifts about the marvelous activities that can be done in rest home during their golden years. That might help. _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture - Comment on Mike Boone the guest on new HIO show
The year after the Bruins became Starley Cup Chanpiar, as the Rat would say, one of the beat reporter from Montreal, I think it was Dany Dube but I might be mistaken, spoke with one of the top dogs in suit in the Bruins organization about what they could've been missing to repeat their feat. The first thing that came out of his mouth was Shane Hnidy. Of all people, he said they were missing Shane Hnidy. Not cup hangover, not Kaberle, not Thomas' antics, not Campbell's departure from under Bettman's desk, none of that. Hnidy. He said he was not only great in the room, providing comic relief and perspective to situations, but he'd actually help out for the presentations to make to the team, the music that should go with said presentatoin, he was the DJ, he was basically the glue that held them together. And must I remind you, Hnidy was basically used as a Drewiske on the ice. I always wanna scoff at the ''room'' thing, but since we're not there, it's hard to really assess how important these guys are. _________________________________ Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture
