  patience, i like where you are going with Bieksa and i think he is exactly the player the Habs need on the blue line, but I doubt he even gets to July 1. He told the Vancouver papers he'll take the 'hometown' discount to stay there. And to all those who love Hammer, he's now 37, slow, and time to move on. Yes he did a fine job while he played in MTL, but he was also over paid the whole time he was here. He was average in Calgary before hand as well.

  Talik, yes this is true, but you also free up half of his salary. What is he making this up coming season?? Half of it goes to the cap, yes for the next 2 years, but that $1.5 you save this year along with the increase in cap space allows for his buy out leaving you similar numbers to this past season
