Does anyone know if Brady Vail was re-drafted or signed as a FA anywhere? I mean the kid had 83 points in 67 games in the OHL, at 6'1"? I don't get it. What am I missing? _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Does anyone know of Therrien is at this development camp? Strange he doesn't show up in any film footage I've seen and has given no interviews. Or is it just the development guys like Lapointe running this camp? _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Imagine the Habs are able to get Kane out of Winnipeg AND we sign Ignila. Wow, what an upgrade! _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Trade Plekanec, Georges and this year's 1st to Edm for 3rd overall and their 3nd round? Sound fair? _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Maybe a bit steep, but Kane is a big, tough top six winger who is not yet 23 and still getting better. Bourque always seems to be a puzzle, Thrower was traded in junior for possible character issues, so it seems a decent trade to me. _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. I don't know if anyone has seen this, but HockeyInsider posted this trade rumour with Winnipeg on Twitter: "shopping Kane BIG TIME> offer ON THE TABLE from #Habs Thrower+Plekanec+Bourque+ R2" . I know this guy is almost always wrong, but interesting trade. I would jump at this. What do you think? _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. After being down for a while after the game, I realized that we had a great run, and man was I entertained this spring. Beating Boston in the second round was really our Stanley Cup, so I’m quite happy with that (this year!). I think it signalled a changing of the guard in the Atlantic Division. I really like what MB has done to the team and feel very confident with him leading us into the future. A few things I would like to see this off-season: say goodbye to Boullion, Murray, Parros, Gionta, Vanek. Wow was I disappointed in Vanek this playoff run, what a slacker. Whatever team is dumb enough to offer this guy big money (hello Minnesota!) is getting the next Dany Heatley, IMO. Which is fitting since Heatley is just finishing with the Wild. I hope we don’t cringe in 5 years every time Colburg scores for the Islanders, a la’ McDonagh for the Rangers. Anyway, re-sign Eller, Weiss, Weaver (for depth), White (love his grit), Markov (2 years max). Offer Subban 7.5 mil per season for 8 years. I know he will get more, but too many brain farts for more money. Trade Plekanec to the highest bidder (draft picks to make up for Vanek trade). I like Plekanec, but I think we have his bigger and faster replacement in Eller, and Galchenuck needs to be moved to center. I always think of the great Sam Pollock, who was never afraid to trade a player while they still had value. Well Plakanec is still an excellent player but on the wrong side of 30, and will get a very good return, so let’s get something for him while we can. What ever happened Louis Leblanc? Every time I watched Kreider blow past our defence, I thought of Leblanc. Here is the guy we drafted instead of Kreider, and he can’t get off the 3rd line in Hamilton. What a waste. Oh well… Anyway, have a good summer everyone! The future is bright for our team! _________________________________________________________ “We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. First of all, thank you Mr. Boone for a great job all year. I always enjoy the blog.
