- Comment on Habs prospect McCarron cut from Team USA junior camp (2014-08-05 20:26:32)
So it doesn't look as though I'm making the summit this year. Too bad. We had such a blast last year? Met some great people of have turned out to be friends for life. My daughter is moving to Nashville, and she's assured me that the Habs will forever be her team. She's even suggested picking up tickets on the cheap, and suggested I fly down. One drive down to move her stuff next week will be the only one. And we'll be coming home without her. ..... for 5 years. Be still my broken heart. I don't come on much lately. I have to confess that I don't recognize many of the handles. But the good ones are still here. I just wanted to come on and say a quick "hi", and I hope everybody is having a great summer!

That makes two of us. We're there every summer. You should join us. Shucking oysters, picking clams, having a sunset campfire on the beach (had to be at the permit office at 6:00am for that one ... only 3 permits given out), sailing the port by nightlight along the cost... I wish I had the money to live there year round. But now, it's time to get the game started. It's a good thing will have Genie to keep us busy for a few weeks, anyhow.

What a way to catch up, coming off vacation. I love Cape Cod. It's true what they say about its sunset. But with very limited wifi, I certainly missed HIO. A great group of very knowledgeable people, mostly.... with what amounts to astute, perceptive, open-minded, mildly argumentative and fanatical perspective on our favourite team. So... HI EVERYONE! What great news about PK. Although I was floored when I walked in the door and my son announced the signing and the dollars. The dollars..... crazy money. But I guess that's the new price to pay in keeping an elite player. ************************* Anyhow, I wanted to do a SHOUT OUT TO CHRIS (Habs in Surrey) for your great and very persistent effort. You're better than I, my friend. ************************* Wayda Go! Great work. And here's to your 5000 target. I'll spread the word.
- Comment on Subban, Habs submit salary figures; Lacroix new assistant coach (2014-07-30 22:22:39)
Hi everyone. As most of you know, my wife, my daughter, grandson and I are in Cape Cod and our access to Wifi is very limited. That being said, I opened this site to the disturbing news of the Subban negotiations. But in scrolling very quickly, I clicked on the link pertaining to little Alex and his fight with meningitis. His courageous fight puts life's importance into perspective. I read his dad's post on HIO to my wife who's now in tears. Congratulations to all of you who contributed and all the well-wishers. I'm so proud of this fine group of people. In being down here, I missed my opportunity to by my summit ticket, but I'll be sure to see you all at Hurley's. You're a great bunch and I wish you all well. And to little Alex, courage to you little man, and keep up the good fight. We'll all see you in October. Cheers!

Dipsy. If you're still up, please get my email from Ian, burly, Frank, Chris or Jim and get ahold of me. My daughter hasn't found a place yet and she's moving there in two weeks. Needless to say, it's very stressful.

Hello to all from Cape Cod. I finally found some free WiFi. We're spending the day in downtown Boston, and I have to admit.... It's a Beautiful city. I still can't stand the Bruins, but the rivalry is front and centre when it comes to sports conversation. I'm liking the Eller signing and still holding out hope for a reasonable long-term deal for PK. If I can't find decent Wifi between now and next weekend when we're home, then I guess I'll save my rant for then. For now, cheers to all and I'll see you on the beach!

I KNEW it! There was no way I would expect an answer from you at that hour, my good friend...too late for you young whipper snapper. But at the crack of dawn though... I have to post late at night for you to answer in the morning because its a different crowd in the morning, and my posts go unanswered. ......nobody loves me. :(

I'm going to blog the obligatory "How are you, Matty?" NOOO, your mega-frame has nothing to do with it. But I do hope you're well and enjoying the summer. Besides, if I don't type something, the crickets will have a field day on here. Get it? Crickets? Field? Oye...

What a goofy picture! Here I spent hours chatting it up with John Mahoney on the beaches of Cape Cod last year, and of aaaalllll the fabulous pictures of Jim, Ian, Chris, Burley and I, they had to put up this goofy image. Some artist with a beret, AND NO RED! You should be ashamed of yourself. And John Belly masquerading as a little blond boy in blue! And not one....but TWO bald guys, and I'm not even in there. I'm so disappointed...you have no idea.
