I agree with rjcp that the Senators won fairly and were the better team. Doesn't mean one has to cheer for these assholes, does it? The last thing I want to see is a goon like Chris Neil raising the Cup over his head. Ever.

Agree with you. Also disagree with this absurd philosophy or belief that Canadians must cheer for the last remaining Canadian team in the playoffs. Completely ludicrous. I'd prefer the Sens to go down in three, but unfortunately it has to be four. (And the Leafs will fall tomorrow.)

I detest the Senators - from their dickish coach through to Chris Neil. I hope they go down in four straight against the Pens. Habs had more than a decent season, and lots of positives moving forward for 13-14. The rooks are awesome, Eller is developing, Subban is the bomb. Can now stop watching hockey until October. Thanks, Boone, for your continuing most excellent coverage throughout the year.

It's unfortunate that after such a stellar season returning to Montreal, we are now left second-guessing decisions by Therrien late in games. Did he advise the team to go into a defensive shell in the second period intermission? Why does he bench Galchenyuk for such a lengthy period of time? Why does he put a hurting Prust on the ice? We'll never know. But it's disappointing to wonder about such decisions while dealing with sub-professional officiating, about which we will never hear anything from the NHL. Sad state of affairs all around.

Have to say I agree with you. I think with Eller done for the series, Price playing the poorest of his career, and various other Habs playing like they're out of gas, it isn't looking good. And don't forget that the Sens have been a thorn in Montreal's side from the first game they played against Montreal when they joined the NHL second time around. It's only Game One, but Montreal, with the exception of the rooks and players like PK and Bourque, seems to be out of gas.

I agree, db. I couldn't see the Canadiens feed, so had to watch the Carolina feed. Very fair, neutral broadcasters - homers, of course, but with respect for the Habs.
