The Habs will never win another Cup until they change this foolish language policy. If Chiarelli, Burke, Holland, etc were available, the Habs would pass on signing them because they don't speak French?? Same with Coaches. Haven't these fools ever heard of translators? Ridiculous!! But I guess when you sell out every game and charge $15 for a beer then there's no need to worry about stuff like winning. Habs fans need to decide what is most important and vote with their wallets. So far language and mediocrity are acceptable. Train - Comment on Multimedia: Video, audio from Tuesday practice
How long are they going to keep blowing smoke up our as_ _ s regarding Markov. Everyone knows, or should know by now, that this guy is toast and the Habs threw $15M out the window. The Gomez and Markov money is the difference between being a bubble team and competing for the Cup. L Train - Comment on The mourning after
Can't hire Lamoriello, doesn't parlez-vous francais. It's a shame (sham) that the organization would rather be PC than win the Stanley Cup. Until they hire the best people for the job regardless of nationally or ability to speak French, the Habs will greatly diminish their chances of winning another cup. Ever heard of translators??? Who's kidding who, Markov is done, probably the dumbest signing in team history aside from acquiring Gomez. $15M down the drain. No playoffs until they can get decent replacements for Markov and Gomez. L Train - Comment on Markov suffers setback in rehab: Report
WOW, add $5.75M to Gomezes $7M and you now have a waste of nearly $14M worth of cap space. Nice job Pierre!! L TRAIN - Comment on How the East has changed
A lot of what happens next season hinges on Gomez. Bottom line is that the Habs need to score more and they need at least two good lines to do it. If Gomez doesn't come up with at least 50 points and a much better +/- then no playoffs. If he weren't a center this wouldn't be such a concern for me. It's not Molson's money, it's the fans that over pay for tickets, beer and merchandise that pay the players. Molson and Gauthier are the trustees who get to decide how to spend our money. No fans, no million dollar players. L Train
