  Cherry has never been slow to bash others. So I don't think he has any right to complain about being bashed.

  Compare it to Ference's hit on Halpern, which was more obviously interference and more obviously a hit targeting the head, and you will see that something stinks in the NHL.

  It's just one game. Vancouver is still leading the series. And it was heart-warming to see Horton on the stretcher. Can' wait for Doc Recchi's diagnosis.

  I grew up in Prince Albert a generation behind Johnny. I had friends whose parents were in school with him. Even though he was half a continent away, he always made a point of staying in touch with his old friends. For me that speaks volumes about him.

  And hand out suspensions that might actually serve as deterrents. (ie. Bertuzzi should have gotten a 2 year suspension.)

  They don't have to ban fighting. Just make teams play short-handed when they have a man in the box for fighting. They should also penalize all head shots. And ban football shoulder pads and plastic caps on elbow pads. And give delay of game penalties to all players who scrum after the whistle. And call charging on full speed hits. And call interference on players who could let up on a hit on a player who no longer has the puck. The game would lose some fans (like the majority of Philadelphia and Boston fans) but it would have a much broader appeal and be more widely respected.
