Agreed and I think he already has eight hits over two games, so that is all but a certainty.
Like I said above, I don't think he HAS to fight but I do think that he WILL fight.

Honestly, I could see him and Asham dusting off. Again, I don't necessarily think he HAS to fight, I just think that he WILL fight.
Look, a few games ago Moen was hit into the boards and White went right after the guy taht hit him. He knows that he is the only one in the lineup willing to drop the gloves and make a little space for his teammates.
I actually think he reminds me of Asham in a lot of way. That being said, White is, as you said, a solid defensive player who can also play on the PK. I'd prefer to see him in the lineup over Pyatt, going forward.
- Comment on Pacioretty back on top line (2010-12-13 16:53:07)
If JM wants to go with MaxPac on a line with Gomer and Gio, I have no problem with that, but then AK, Plek and Cammy have to be reuinted. I think that is what he'll do...at least I hope so.
Moen has no place in the top-6 and has proved as much over the last few weeks and months.
I can't imagine JM playing AK with Halpern and Laps....that is just too much. Then again, JM has been known to do things that we don't expect him to do.
- Comment on Boyd replaces Gomez; Subban in for Weber (2010-12-10 15:45:48)
Makes sense. I think there is a very real possibility that the Habs could be showcasing Weber for a potential trade in the future. Either way, the Habs excellent play and strong record is putting them in the driver's seat.
They have the luxury of time and don't have to make any moves until they find the right one. That's a nice spot to be in!

Well now that JM is reinserting PK into the lineup without the team having lost a game, it will be very interesting to see how he handles ice time for his two young D-men going forward.
- Comment on Boyd replaces Gomez; Subban in for Weber (2010-12-10 15:38:48)
Well said and yes, Hamr and Spatch can't continue to eat up so many minutes. Last year the same thing happened when Markov was out, and they both started to fade near the end of the year.
The Habs are a good team right now and with a tweak or two could be legitimate contenders. If they want to contend, however, they need their aging defense-core to have something left in the tank come playoff time.

Can't argue with you there and agree that isn't not a "benching" per se, or at least not a punishment. The Habs have a lot of competent NHL-calibre defenseman right now.
For me, I'd just like to see a few games with both Weber and PK in the lineup. I think they could add a lot of offense from the back end.
The other possibility to consider is that the Habs are showcasing Weber as trade bait later in the season. Either way, if the biggest problem the Habs have is scratching players that are good enough to be playing, then I think they are heading in the right direction!
- Comment on Boyd replaces Gomez; Subban in for Weber (2010-12-10 14:46:04)
I like having Subban back but am not a fan of benching Weber. The way he's played he deserves to be playing. The problem is that so does Picard. I guess that's a good problem to have but I personally would like to see the Habs defense with both Subban and Weber in the lineup, even if only for a few games.
I think the Habs would be a better team for it.
- Comment on Three Ws and counting (2010-12-08 13:47:38)
Indeed he is! I fully expect him to get an audition on the second line at some point in the new year. Then the Habs can reasonably judge what they have and whether they need to go shopping for a top-6 winger or not.
