No assist to Gallagher on the play, but did you all note his work on the boards to gain the puck with a nice outlet pass to Markov? _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!

Sorry for the late response, but I'm a west-coaster, so I posted just before I went to bed for the night. I just got up an hour ago and only just read your response. The analysis didn't take long. I watched the game after it was over and it hit me with the Sekac goal that all of our goals were quick strike. I subscribe to Game Centre Live and GCL "bookmarks" all goals, so I just clicked on each goal and they were replayed. If it didn't take me back far enough to see the origin of the play, I just rewound another 10 seconds. Marked the time with pen and paper (old school). It took longer to write the post. _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!

Habs were quick hit/transition artists in the extreme last night. The total time that elapsed after the Habs gained the Bruins' zone before each goal was a mere 21 seconds. Again, that is the TOTAL time (no one goal took longer than 5 seconds after gaining the Bruins' zone). Goal 1 (Weise): Dale steals the puck at the blue line at 17:34 and is tripped while going in on the goal at 17:29. Essentially, he scored on the penalty shot 5 seconds after stealing the puck. Goal 2 (Eller): Puck enters Bruins' zone at 7:05. Gallagher retrieves it at 7:01 and Eller scores at 7:00. Score was 5 seconds after entering the zone (interestingly, the goal was also only 10 seconds after the puck was deep in Montreal's zone). Goal 3 (Pacioretty): Weise takes the puck in at 5:06 and feeds Max who scores at 5:03. The goal was only 3 seconds after entering the zone. (Again, the puck had come the length of the ice - only 8 seconds before the goal, it was past our goal line). Goal 4 (Pacioretty): At 14:58, Emelin forces a turnover at the center line. Pacioretty brings it into the the Bruins' zone at 14:56 and after feeding it to DD, Max scores at 14:51. That's 5 seconds after entering the zone. Goal 5 (Sekac): Sekac gets the pass from Beaulieu at the B's blue line and enters the zone at 5:57. He scores on the rush at 5:54, just 3 seconds later. Only 8 seconds before the goal the puck was behind Montreal's net. That's a total of 21 seconds (5, 5, 3, 5, and 3) for the goals to be scored after the Habs brought the puck across the Bruins' blue line. For three goals (#'s 2, 3, and 5), the puck had been at the far end of the ice (past our goal line) no more than 10 seconds earlier. So what does this tell us? Nothing that we didn't already know: The Habs are a fast team that thrives in transition, and the Bruins defense is ponderously slow and can't handle Montreal's speed, especially when the puck is suddenly moving in the opposite direction. Still, it was fun to see, as always. _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!

Is that what Dorsett did? Head butt? No penalty was assessed, at least not according to the boxscore. _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!

The penalty was assessed at the 20:00 minute mark. No wonder you missed it. When I saw everyone complaining about Dorsett, I went to the boxscore, but only saw Bourque in the penalty column. Terribly confused. _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!

PVR'd the game so I haven't watched it yet. What did Dorsett do at the end? If it was so bad, why did Bourque get the only penalty? (A 5 minute CC major may result in a suspension). Someone please explain. _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!

What? Are they going to leave this to Galchenyuk to win in the shootout? It is a good thing I'm on west coast time or I would be out cold. _____________________________________ They brought their f____ing toys with them!
