Not much different than last year. This team can be competitive with the best when everyone shows up to play 3 periods. There is not enough here to win games by playing 5 or 6 good shifts in 60 minutes. The Hawks can do that and Pittsburgh can probably do that but the Habs can't.At least not at this point.Right now they look like a bunch that mails in games in blocks of five at a time.Players fault? MT fault? maybe some of both. In any case its either golf in May or one and out.

Yeah Tourris,Kadri,Marchand,Mike Richards etc ...they are all allowed to dance and sing when they score but the delicate flowers in other cities are upset when PK celebrates.Wonder why that is? Wait...I know...its because PK did not have Branch Rickey around to remind him how easily offended red necks can be.

Horrific team effort.Yeah they are a small team but that is no excuse to be two steps behind in every race for the puck.Even the Top six of Scotty Bowman's Habs wouldn't be able to do it by themselves every night.Bourque looks like he would rather be sitting in a dentist's chair than going over the boards.Bury him in Hamilton.Leblanc will be able to manage at least one assist in two months too.I guarantee it.

Time was when the NHL buffoons would make 7 goals that look fine on film, disappear in a season. Now its 7 goals in 3 weeks. No problem though, every game should turn on a guy in stripes with a headphone.Nothing to see here at all.

Never a fan of the MT hiring. The 2008-2009 Pens were barely in playoff contention while he was turning the likes of Crosby and Gino into better hockey players and people.Blysma won the Cup with them three months later. Now supposedly he has "learned and changed" although not sure into what.Must have been PK's fault that the team that can't score went with 11 forwards and 7 D thereby confusing both groups. Also, someone he trusts should tell him that waiting for 5'10 guys to muscle 6'3 guys off of the puck on chip ins is a fool's errand. Maybe on Saturday MT can bench himself.

Yes he absolutely is that.

If the captaincy were only about seniority and dedication Marky would be the captain already.PK makes sense for a number of reasons having to do with personality, skill level and media savvy. Also,it will be amusing to watch the heads of the ....ummmm hockey "purists" explode.

Proving once again that with Bettman's boys stripes, the SunBelt Bettmans are never really out of the game.

I look at it this way.Teams infrequently dominate three periods. The fact that they may need to do that to win is a symptom of the crap handed out with 18 seconds remaining on the clock.Oh and by the way....lets not even mention the quick call on a puck that was loose that cost them a goal in the second period.Lets just discuss how this team, unlike every other, has lapses and does not resemble Bowman's team for 60 minutes every night. That way,we will hear only nice crickets and the elephant in the room will be hardly noticeable.

You fail to have picked up on the subtleties of Sun Belt Hockey in The Gary Bettman House League. This atrocity occurred a mere 48 hours after the buffoons working the game for the GBHL office handed 2 points to the Florida Bettmans and all that that required was calling back two perfectly valid goals. Last night another set of buffoons took the game in hand and reversed a blow out of the Carolina Bettmans by handing out penalties in multiples for things like precipitating a dive, skating too quickly and handling the puck and even that was almost not sufficient for this bottom feeding aggregation to climb back into the game.Fortunately for the GBHL and the Carolina Bettmans they had started their important work early enough. Oh yeah right they prettied up the stats sheet by handing Staal a 4 minute sit for his Chara job, that was actually clear and that after the fact. God they are good. Can't wait to see what the buffoons who show up to work the "game" with the Dallas Bettmans have in mind. When your officials become more transparent than professional wrestling's the biggest problem is no longer how to sell hockey in places that don't care about it. At least watching Nature Boy Buddy Rogers and Yukon Eric was fun and the wrestling promoters never took themselves seriously enough to call what they were doing "a sport".
