" Did the zebras screw the Canadiens out of a win that would have tied this series?" Yes.Now that you mention it they did. Not that the 20 minute third period penalty kill helped - Comment on Liveblog: Game 4 – Canadiens blow 2-0 lead, lose in OT
Aren't all stud goalies 9-17 in playoff action ? - Comment on Therrien: "We've got to make sure we go back to basics."
Actually it reminds me more of Claude Julien losing his job because he did not want to put up with two soft goals a game by Jose Theodore and wanted to win instead. At least in that case Theodore had actually won a Vezina not simply thrilled his fans by finishing fifth in the balloting. If Peter Budaj had not stoned the Bruins twice we would be seeing another series instead of this one altogether. But having played well in Game Two he now has a pass for the entire series and probably the next one even if that is in 2014.Not only does Price not respond to pressure well enough to win a series but the games he starts tend to turn into blow outs. Enough already. - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens win 3-1, tie series
Don't hate Price but he is vastly over rated relative to his record and have not gone to bed either. He played well tonight and deserves praise but when he sucks like he did last night, he sucks big time and that is much too often. See,its really simple.Praise when he is good.Criticism when he sucks.Try to learn how it works - Comment on About last night ...
I don't suddenly think that Price is terrible. I think that he is vastly over rated and always has been, relative to his performance. He isn't Dryden. He isn't Roy, and he has not yet demonstrated that he is even Jose Theodore, who won a Vezina, a Hart and actually carried the team through some difficult playoff series before pucks started to look like aspirin tablets to him.He spends more time on his knees than a $20 hooker and that's why goals one and two beat him last night. - Comment on About last night ...
Bergevin's inactivity at the deadline was a positive thing not a negative one when you consider what teams like Pittsburgh and Dallas gave up for rent a players they will not be able to fit under the new cap.He is looking beyond this year and it has been awhile since we have seen that from top level management.Meanwhile this team has already demonstrated that it can put together some decent streaks of good hockey and the conference is wide open. Not even Pittsburgh should confuse with Central Red Army circa 1981.We may still see a few series this season. - Comment on Liveblog: Canadiens pasted, retain division lead
37 shots at the other end and you want to pass this off as a "team" debacle ? Dan Nile isnt only a river in Egypt.
