The cap is halfway between what the players and the owners are suggesting for 2012/13. - Comment on Live-blog lives!
Not sure if someone has already said this -- something to consider for September 14 -- play this year under last year's cap and floor and continue negotiations. 64.3million -- fines are paid by clubs over this limit and all go into the escrow fund that gets redistributed to the weaker teams. Both sides could also agree to a one year delay in cap from now on, setting the cap based on two seasons before. - Comment on Audio: Prust wants to be part of exciting change with Habs
Can some one explain how Blunden can move to Hamilton during his two way contract. (D’arche as well while you are at it). Do they have to clear waivers? Why did it not work for (was it?) Jeff Woywitka last year? He’s played over 80 games and is 25 — that’s over limit and has to be waived. Darche is well over. I guess only CBJ or Edmonton could pick him up. Thanks Mark C -- two way contracts and waivers are different. - Comment on Audio: Prust wants to be part of exciting change with Habs

In what universe is Nokelainen better than LeBlanc - a natural centre? Are you sending him back to Hamilton? - Comment on Audio: Prust wants to be part of exciting change with Habs

dream scenario for me -- free agents and trades Jason Garrison for 3.5 million P.A. Parenteau for 3.33 million Martin Brodeur for 6.0 million Jaromir Jagr for 3.6 million Budaj and Kaberle to Edmonton for Magnus Paajarvi, top AHL plus a second round pick (pays for Brodeur) Bourque, Diaz, and Edmonton's second round pick to Colorado for David Jones (even cap hit) adds 10.5 million
