  Sounds like reasonable logic to me too... Someone mentioned that a few weeks ago on here and got torn to shreds. The energy we're talking about in an impact of two 200 pound bodies colliding at what, 25mph is incredible... I somehow doubt that a plastic cap makes much of a difference at that scale. Anyways unless an actual physicist wants to comment on this we're all speculating and I wouldn't trust Don Cherry's opinion...

  On an unrelated note. I miss Saku... Stumbled across some old videos of him including his first goal, the cancer comeback, and his first game in Mtl with the ducks and was tearing up. He was the first pro hockey player I met in person as an impressionable 10 year old, and embodies the glory days of my fandom. Sure, team performance wasn't that great but do I ever miss his heart and the passion that came along with being a Habs back then for me at least... I've been pretty impartial to Gomez this whole time trying not to hate, but seeing him (when he actually plays....) cruising around in #11 feels a tad disrespectful to my memories.

  I miss Steve Begin. Never quite understood why he left, but could this team ever use a sparkplug forward like that these days... I guess that's what Ryan White's supposed to be, but I miss Steve's energetic ways.
