Comment on Habs vs. Leafs: a playoff preview?
I've been a habs fan living in Toronto since 1966 and the rivalry with the leafs (and their fans) was always fierce. However, that rivalry disappeared a long time ago. Montreal has had a great rivalry since the 70's with the Briuns and of course when the Nordiques came into the league there was never a greater rivalry than Mon vs. Que. Don't forget that the Laffs and the Habs weren't even in the same conference for a number of years and they only played each other once or twice a year. How can that be a rivalry. My two sons never knew that rivalry. They only know about the rivalry between Tor- Ott. However, I believe that the rivalry between Mon and Tor. is coming back. Until the Nordiques come back, if that ever occurs. I hope the Habs & laffs don't meet until the conference finals. Now that would be something especially with the Habs winning!
