My problem with DD, for the last several games is his laziness and his lack of aggresivity. More than once tonight, I saw him FAIL to even attempt finishing a check in situations that clearly warranted it. By contrast, Patches hasn't been producing a ton lately, but in the last few games he's stepped up his forecheck, backcheck and passing. He's working it. DD is not. - Comment on Liveblog: Capitals win 3-2, continue Bell Centre streak
How was it that Desharnais (clearly the WORST Hab tonight) and Bourque (first game back after a concussion) were on the ice for the final minute? Eller didn't have a solid enough game? Gallagher isn't clutch enough? Maybe get Halpern in for that O-zone faceoff? I guess Therrien is human after all. Chris Lee has his orders from Bettman: the big market US teams MUST make the playoffs. Price played solid, save for Ovi's knuckler...a strange shot/goal. Patches worked his azz off tonight - I like seeing him forecheck, backcheck, hit and pass, but he needs to drive to the net more often, a la Erik Cole. Prust, Chucky, Plek and Gionta had solid, aggressive games tonight. On to Buffalo - hopefully we can get that monkey off our back like we did the Islanders. - Comment on Pacioretty, Bourque will be in lineup against Capitals
I'm guessing Plek and Halpern will be shadowing Ovi.
