  He was meant to put up some higher numbers than he did last year. Since there were a few over-agers that made up the bulk of the top 6 and were leaned on for most of the offense, Vail was placed in a checking, two way forward type of role. Now that they moved on he was expected to pick up some of their slack and he has far exceeded anyones expectations in doing so thus far in the season.

  I think an immediate solution to the holes we have on D that could really help is to make a serious pitch for Justin Schultz. Big body, rips in the WHL, young and projected to be a solid NHL defender. Basically a steal if we can get him as he is set to become a UFA at seasons end. What do you all think?

  Colborne is supposedly expendable in Toronto. Big, young centre/winger with plenty of upside. has fared well in his limited NHL career. Leafs say they want to get bigger up front, I say we unload Kostitsyn for Colborne and a 3rd.

  Hahaha, fools at the Toronto Sports Network mixed up Hal Gill and Eric Cole in their interviews under the Leafs/Habs ice chips. You'd figure they'd know who Gill was, he played for their own team for Christ sake!
