Bud, It's not Carbo's fault. Price isn't ready. Lets just face it. 46-14-27 Best Line In Hockey !! The Cup in 3 years or less !!

I agree, they have to play better defensively as a team. But be honest, Halk and Price have not lived up to expectations. The Habs can win any game with offense, the goalies are still going to have to steal the odd one and to date there has been no evidence that that is going to happen. As far as Huet goes, he came to play every night, no noghts off. His numbers speak for themselves. 46-14-27 Best Line In Hockey !! The Cup in 3 years or less !! Go Habs Go

The loss to Columbus was hard to take because the goals against were all bad goals because of Halak's positioning. Last night was more of the same with Price. If he wants to have swagger, he needs to prove himself at the NHL level. All his other accomplishments mean nothing. He was terrible last night!! The good news for him and Halak is that the Habs can score in bunches. Remember Grant Fuhr, he'd let in 3 or 4 every night but Gretzky and company would just score more? That can't happen all year. The Habs have got to strenthen their goaltending. I wander if Huet is happy in Chicago? 46-14-27 Best Line In Hockey !! The Cup in 3 years or less !! Pleks is starting to take off !!

Go Habs Go !! Here's the difference from all the years before. The Habs didn't have a game breaker. They didn't have a guy that could put the team on his shoulders and carry them to victory. All they had was a bunch of lunch pail guys going to work everyday (Koivu included). Now Kovalev has arrived...really arrived. Goalies have never been the Habs problem. For years they had the goalie(s) to get into the playoffs, just not enough of anything else. From where I'm sitting, the Habs have enough of everything now to get the job done. If Price faulters, Halak has shown he can play with the big boys. Alot of these guys know what it takes to go all the way. Alot of them won the AHL championship last year. At a different level it's the same thing. I'm not saying the Habs will go all the way but, this is our best chance in a long while. These guys are hungry. You can see it. Last year it was a crap shoot as to who was going to show up. This year they are the most consitant team in the league. That's what it takes to win. Not a Jagr, not a Hossa, not a one man show of any kind...consistancey. Side note: O'byrne has also arrived. He was a force last night and made some serious smart defensive plays. One in particular was when he was behind the net with the puck in his feet and rather than waste time looking for it, he picked his head up and took out the Devil who knew where it was and was going for it. He was very impressive. Grovaski(?) is also going to be a fabulous player soon. I hope he's on the same curve that Pleks is on. Next year should be a lot of fun. Go Habs Go

jason: Two things stand out from your post: 1. You have a very limited knowledge of the game we love to call hockey 2. If you don't learn a little bit more about sex, you may also end up with a limited amount of spending money. Go Habs Go

Maybe only 2 available. Sundin and Marleau. Obviously Marleau would be cheaper with the year he's having. Maybe a few games in Montreal would snap him out of his funk. Either way, he's big,he's mobile, he's smart, and not bad in the faceoff circle. An added bonus for the faithfull in PQ........he's french. Pull the trigger Bob.

Both of these guys are 20 goal scoreres or better...no matter who they play with. Not everyone can be Mike Gartner and score 30+ goals for their entire career. Kos and Higs are going to be fine and I'm going to enjoy watching them bang and score for a long time. Leave Higgins alone. Go Habs Go.
