- Comment on Habs’ Prust out for rest of regular season; Galchenyuk moves to centre (2014-03-21 19:30:36)
does anyone here know if the Habs will practice tomorrow in Toronto before the game? If so, any idea if they would practice at the ACC or at the Mastercard Center? The reason I ask is because my daughter has a game at the Mastercard Center tomorrow and I'm wondering we should go a bit earlier to see if we can watch the Habs practice for a bit... :)
- Comment on Habs get day off after win over Avalanche; Bozon’s condition improving (2014-03-19 21:58:14)
I'm as big a Habs fan as they come and I do live in Toronto... But really? You Montreal is a better city than Toronto. I'm not sure I agree with that Toronto has so much more to offer city wise than Montreal. Because I live in Toronto, my number one problem is dealing with Leafs fans on a daily basis, turning on the radio to hear about the Leafs, turning on the tube to hear about the leafs, tuning into CBC to hear about the Leafs... I'm tired of hearing about the Leafs.
- Comment on Habs send Beaulieu back to Hamilton for Olympic break (2014-02-09 20:57:21)
Went to the Marlies v Bulldogs game today. It was a very entertaining game and the good guys won. Beaulieu looked fantastic out there today. He's just oozing with confidence and his skating is superb. Tinordi looked good too, strong in the corners and scored a sweet goal to tie the game 1-1. Today was the first time I seem Pateryn and I can't saying was too impressed. He just didn't stand out in comparison to Tinordi and Beaulieu. Andrighetto was a pleasant surprise and had a sweet goal splitting the D unassisted. Finally, I played close attention to Leblanc and I honestly think his time is up. If he can't light it up in the AHL I'm not sure what he thinks he will ever do in the NHL. Overall, the Bulldogs played well, had more shots on net and killed off quite a few penalties including a 5 min major and a 5 on 3.
- Comment on Habs call up Beaulieu, Nattinen from Hamilton (2014-01-18 09:53:08)
morning' all - does anyone know if the Habs are practicing this morning? My daughter has an 11:30 game at the Mastercard Centre and I was wondering if there was the slight chance I could bump into the team practicing...

I agree with you. Being from Toronto as well, I'm not so concerned about the outcome as I am about the effort. We need a full 60mins tonight. If they can do that then a win should be attainable. I'll be watching the game tonight at Leaf fans' house so the ratio of Habs to Leaf fans will be 2-12 yikes! GOHABSGO!

Trust me, I dont like spreading rumours like this and I know its funny when I say a friend who is friend with etc... But I think its a valid discussion in general. If and IF PK were to get traded, I would think that another D-man would have to come back along with a plethora of pics or prospects. By no means is Phaneuf my first choice. But living in Toronto, I can tell you that this is a hot topic amongst sports radio stations. Especilaly since both players have contracts expiring at the end of this season. I didn't bring this topic up to spread rumours, it was more of a "what if" discussion.

I have a friend who is friends with someone inside the Leafs organization and the rumour is that PK wants out of Montreal and the Leafs are looking to make a PK for Phaneuf deal. Yikes! This is not something I would ever want. I think PK is a far superior player with a higher ceiling. Having said that, I guess anything is possible. If MB doesn't sign PK before the season's end, I would think PK will not be around next year. I hope I am wrong. PK definitely has not been playing his best hockey the last 2-3 games. Something has got to be up.

I agree with you both krob & zephyr. When initially watching the interview I thought to myself "this is captain material" and I love his honesty. I just dont think it goes over well with MT & MB and thats why he might have been best to keep this info in the locker rather than in the media. I'm sure we will hear more about this "bad practice" as am sure the media will at some point question MT.

Don't post much but I had to for this game. Some observations (1) team clearly was not motivated to play. Terrible 1st period. (2) Prust looked horrible last night. He must be injured (3) D zone coverage was brutal!!!! No one taking their man and soft passes that could not clear the zone (4) watching PK in beast mode was great but didn't like him commenting during the intermission bout bad practices etc... You're fuelling the media and I suspect MT and MB aren't fans of this type of activity (5) DD's performance? What can you say... He's just innefective at the moment (6) Patches played great. Looked like a centerman and was great on the back check. Can't say the same about Briere an DD. Whose the center on this line again? Tonight had the potential to get real ugly with the firepower on the Oilers team.
