I`m not sure you understand the conversation. What does a discourse about nationalism on or near September 11th have anything to do with being right or wrong ? To correct one of your points, which has little merit. The US did nothing when war broke out in WW2, check your dates you will find that to be correct. You could insert another dozen countries in there France included. (do you forget that the statue of liberty was a gift of France to the US). Sorry I am making irrelavant claims now.. What Nationalism can do is give us a penchance for revisionist history. Like whom did we arm, what regimes do we support, what were our motives, be honest with ourselves and take ownership for what we did. Like if we dropped an atomic bomb or 2. (Hmmm, why would we do that...or take a look at a historical map of Palestine say 1946 till now, and place ourselves in their place for a second to try and fathom how we might feel... Long story short, the quest for freedom, truth and integrity is great. Btw my grandfather and 5 great-uncles were in ww2 since 1939. Standing for what is right is righteous. You dont need to be a nationalist to do that. More Swedes for the Lions in Winter

No, but if you feel good about where you live why do you need to be nationalist ? More Swedes for the Lions in Winter

Jingoism (extreme patriotism, especially in the form of aggressive or warlike foreign policy) An extension of nationalism, is what we have seen to south of us for years. Unfortunately many Canadians are identifying more with that model all the time. How `free`are you truly, when you need to be told that you are in the most free place repeatedly. Not very. Nationalism divides groups of people by describing a set of attributes above all else. Nationalism is in most cases, purposely or not, is an assault on diversity in literal terms. Feeling good about where you live, your community, its triumphs and evolution, thats cool. Frankly, though most people that are drawn to the noise and servitude of nationalism forget the first responsibility of a free person. Challenge and hold accountable the power you give your leaders. Rhetoric is what we have now. Habs empire are you ready to rock it ? More Swedes for the Lions in Winter

In reading EOTP's self-proclaimed point-dexter A. Berkshire's analysis of TP, me thinks it galvanizes my opinion that the return on moving Plekanec is not worth the short-fall of the 'that' loss. ( note I feel his playoff was weak ) I also think that AG needs to play centre this year. I also think that LE needs to play centre. I also think MM will mitigate some difficult time away from TP & LE. (Which will be good for them in regular season and playoffs) DD needs to play with Patch. On the RW, they will need a F1 for a centre with speed. DD often enters the zone or finds himself high and on the right side anyway. So.... Patch, LE, DD. Sekac, TP, PAP Bournival, AG, Gallagher BP or TM, MM, Wiese Note: I feel from I've read and what I think we need that Sven or DLR could push for 3rd line, or BP TM. Speed looks good, but in looking at our forwards (which I like) we need some push-back. Tinordi in top 6 is important. More Swedes for the Lions in Winter

Chris, I value your posts BTW. But if you lose your cap you lose you competitiveness. Does anyone think that thw HAWKS will be a perennial favorite (like top 3) after 30 percent of their cap goes to 2 players in 2015 ? More Swedes for the Lions in Winter
