Think dummy...no cap space with Gomez on the books and an upcoming buyout of Kaberle. - Comment on About last night ...
I agree that Pleks is useless. He doesn't win the majority of faceoffs, won't hit anyone and is afraid of being hit, is never close enough to take out an opposing player near our net, is consistently first off and last on during a shift change. As for Markov, as good as he was, he has slowed down and is only effective on the PP with Emelin. Sad... - Comment on About last night ...
Dear Ineptitude. I read your blog and see that you're a P.J. Stock fan. How sad. People laugh at his stupid comments - I think he's a bigot as well. You really are an ignorant toad. Did it ever enter your mind that Morrow made racist comments to P.K., which incensed him? I'm not comparing P.K. to Jackie Robinson but both are/were outstanding athletes in a predominantly white game - as was basketball. - Comment on About last night ...
Plekanek is afraid if hitting or being hit although he was more aggressive last night. As you said, he's unable to win the majority of faceoffs and he's consistently not covering anyone when the opposition is in front of our net - not worth $5M. We can find someone who is worth that kind of money. - Comment on Therrien shuffles lines; Budaj will face Sabres with new contract
That's one big reason Pleks is not worth $5M. Also, why put him on the PP when he's afraid of digging for the puck? He won't hit anyone and he's afraid of being hit. Have you noticed he's never gassed after a shift? - first off and last on when there's a line change - just enough effort not to be noticed as a slacker. Constantly waving his stick beyond the reach of the opposition is not fore-checking. He'll won't be an impact player during the playoffs but simply fade away. - Comment on About last night ...
He's not worth $5M...What players on the Habs deserve that salary? As far as watching the games, keep your eye on him. He's a floater - like a corpse in the water. - Comment on About last night ...
Aside from blocking shots, The Caps kept the Habs on the outside near the boards not allowing the team to gain foot speed to get good shots on net. As usual, Plecs was absent. As my friend would say..."his line is the donut with no center". I've never seen his value - he can't win a faceoff, afraid to hit or be hit and, using his stick not within poke-checking an opponent and and away constantly floating far from the action. He's useless and should have been traded. We are definitely thin on defence but there's nothing we can do about that.
