Think dummy...no cap space with Gomez on the books and an upcoming buyout of Kaberle.

I agree that Pleks is useless. He doesn't win the majority of faceoffs, won't hit anyone and is afraid of being hit, is never close enough to take out an opposing player near our net, is consistently first off and last on during a shift change. As for Markov, as good as he was, he has slowed down and is only effective on the PP with Emelin. Sad...

Dear Ineptitude. I read your blog and see that you're a P.J. Stock fan. How sad. People laugh at his stupid comments - I think he's a bigot as well. You really are an ignorant toad. Did it ever enter your mind that Morrow made racist comments to P.K., which incensed him? I'm not comparing P.K. to Jackie Robinson but both are/were outstanding athletes in a predominantly white game - as was basketball.

Plekanek is afraid if hitting or being hit although he was more aggressive last night. As you said, he's unable to win the majority of faceoffs and he's consistently not covering anyone when the opposition is in front of our net - not worth $5M. We can find someone who is worth that kind of money.

That's one big reason Pleks is not worth $5M. Also, why put him on the PP when he's afraid of digging for the puck? He won't hit anyone and he's afraid of being hit. Have you noticed he's never gassed after a shift? - first off and last on when there's a line change - just enough effort not to be noticed as a slacker. Constantly waving his stick beyond the reach of the opposition is not fore-checking. He'll won't be an impact player during the playoffs but simply fade away.

He's not worth $5M...What players on the Habs deserve that salary? As far as watching the games, keep your eye on him. He's a floater - like a corpse in the water.

Aside from blocking shots, The Caps kept the Habs on the outside near the boards not allowing the team to gain foot speed to get good shots on net. As usual, Plecs was absent. As my friend would say..."his line is the donut with no center". I've never seen his value - he can't win a faceoff, afraid to hit or be hit and, using his stick not within poke-checking an opponent and and away constantly floating far from the action. He's useless and should have been traded. We are definitely thin on defence but there's nothing we can do about that.
  • Comment on Subban paired with Bouillon at practice (2013-02-01 16:24:02)
You can't change the spots on a leopard-Therrien hasn't changed in ten years. He has the look of a dull animal- a quadruped with a low forehead who probably can only verbalize using clicks and grunts. Therrien's goal is to make P.K. an obedient "boy". Will he be made to shine shoes too? I believe that Subban will not stay with the Habs. Management will find a way to get rid of him for his "unacceptable behaviour". As mentioned by "montrealtilldeath", exuberant celebration in other sports is common and accepted. Any NHL team in the U.S. would grab him in a heartbeat assuming they have the cap space. Imagine him in a big-market team like the Rangers. They'd be gushing all over him instead of being treated like a boy who has to learn the rules of the white man. I'm digusted by the arrogance and treatment of certain players by Montreal's management. In their wildest delusions, no upstanding professional franchise would behave in this sick manner.

I watched a KHL game between Dynamo and another team @ 5pm yesterday on ESPN2.

This appointment is the beginning of the end of the new season. There are far better coaches out there that could have moulded the young players and harnessed the talent of some of the veterans. This is another debacle.
