Habs fan Since '54... Right on Triplex... lol ! They coulda also gone to that other 'walk on water' Leaf , that 'Splendid Swede' , Mats Sundin. Uggghhhh! Well ok, maybe that wasn't a T.O. fabrication but as link above shows, our own LLSJ, Red Fisher. Maybe 'ole Red has spent too much time in T.O. lately. LOL ! There's T.O. then there's the rest of the hockey universe. Although it seems that they are actually starting to smell the coffee. Too bad John Ferguson Jr. had to take the fall. I betcha if John Sr. was still alive that c*%p would'nt have gone down last month ! I can just see Fergy crashing an MLSE board meeting. Steve Stavro 'woulda cr*&ped his pants ! Too bad CBC broadcasts 'outta there. Was listening to Bob Cole screw up the game again last night. Sure glad I got the RDS HD feed ! ;-)

Habs fan Since '54... Was going to mention this earlier but forgot. Did anyone read the LLSJ's article on Tuesday or Monday of this week ? If you did, "go to the front of the class" and "the rest you know" ! Red Fisher waxes poetic about what a 'splendid swede' Mats Sundin is for not waving his no-trade clause. Splendid Swede ? Can we not get the LLSJ to sit in on a 'hot stove' chat with Don Cherry ? Bring it on ! The LLSJ used to be seen on various interviews and such but I guess he does'nt get out much anymore. Too busy throwing lavish parties at his CSL mansion ? lol ! ;-)

Gotta keep the high's low and the low's high ! I agree, the bandwagon jumping has 'gotta stop. Let's leave it to those talking heads on 110% !

Habs fan Since '54... Well I guess lotsa room on Stanley Cup bandwagon this morning ! That wagon's seating changes like the temperature in this city... BTW, not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I received 22 identical emails from HabsInsideOut server this morning. Strange.... Maybe there is a burp in the time/space continuum and Lord Stanley's mug will be paraded down it's usual route sometime in June !

Dave, Just listened to audio of that interview with Nesterenko and all I can say is "Look who's calling the kettle black." 'Ole Eric has a lot of nerve berating Tony O. for that goal he gave up to Jacques Lemaire in '71 Stanley Cup final. It was a knuckle ball and Lemaire had a howitzer ! Many readers were'nt even born when that game was played but I can state categorically that Habs tying goal wasn't at all like Nesterenko described it. I'll always remember where I was (in parents playroom) watching it with my brother when they tied it. Nesterenko performed a no-brainer passing the puck blindly behind his back while skating away towards the corner. No one was even close to him. No bumping off the puck as he described. Jacques 'coco' Lemaire pounced on loose puck next to net passed to pocket and bingo, poor Tony O. did'nt have a chance. That play led no doubt to Nesterenko's retirement after that year. The goal that won it was the Pocket who swept in from blue line around Keith Magnuson, hung onto puck long enough and flipped puck over a sprawling Tony O. A famous picture although not popular in Chicago that you see every once in a while. Strange how I can remember such facts as clear as yesterday but can't remember client code I worked on yesterday. A little like Star Trek episodes. I can remember Balok’s diatribe from Corbomite Maneuver but for the luv of me can't remember where I copied that email yesterday. LOL . 'Nuf Said.. bantamcc... ;-)
