  I also can't imagine why the Pens would think it would be good for them. Despite Fleury's recent history of suckitude, he has won the big silver trophy, and they probably still believe in him.

  All true. But beyond the image, he is actually not a good mayor. He ran on ending the gravy train (a non-sensical mixed-metaphor if ever there was one), only to find out that there wasn't a train - just that it's expensive to run a city. Worse, he should have know this fact since he spent so many years as a city councilor. Then he proceeded to make every issue raised at city hall a divisive one. His legacy might be the Eglinton subway line, and it will be some time before we know that is a good idea or not.

  Which Trudeau? Pierre is long gone and so irrelevant to today's political scene, and Justin hasn't revealed a single plank of whatever platform he might stand on. (Not to turn this into a political forum)
