Watch first episode of new season for HI/O Show with Chris Nilan

The weekly HI/O Show is back for a new season.

Former Canadien Chris Nilan, who will be a regular guest on the show this season, joins columnist Jack Todd and blogger Mike Boone — along with sports editor/host Stu Cowan — to set the stage for the Canadiens’ 2014-15 season.

You can check out a new HI/O Show every Wednesday as of 5 p.m.

Fans can also send a Twitter question or Habs-themed selfie to @HabsIO — #AskHIO. Selected questions/pics will make it on the HI/O show.

Curious to know why the Bulldogs are a huge dog at Rochester tonight. They pay 3.20 for a regulation win and Rochester is at 1.95, which is a big difference. On paper I thought the Dogs were strong this year. Any thoughts?

Always have loved the HI/O Show Stu. All of You, Chris, Jack, Dave and Mike are great entertainment to Me.

I would like to throw an idea at Y’all.

It is so difficult finding a hot-stove conversation focussed only on the Habs on television, with all such held, today, hostage by the Sportsnets, TSNs and CBCs out of Turd— I mean Toronto.

Is it feasible for The Gazette to invest in the HI/O Show as a regular online post-game show ?

I mean for You Guys, similar to the French-language l’AntiChambre, to do a half-hour post-game wrap-up and critique of the game on an every game basis ?

It may become a revenue producer for The Gazette, as advertisers may be attracted to it.

I know You may be competing with radio 690s and the like, but I think You Guys would be much more entertaining and credible than the talk-jocks on radio, plus the added eyeballs from Habs Fans outside Quebec.

Just an idea to consider, as I don’t know The Gazette’s limitations cost-wise to produce this for every game. I leave the idea with Y’all.

Again, thanks for a good show.

Hey can you please post the show on YouTube, the plugin for the video player dosnt load on my phone. Thanks

    Keep it up
    Great show

Jack Todd says that if Price is out for ten or twelve games, we’ll find out how good Tokarski is, that with Budaj at least we knew he’d get us through the stretch. But it was during precisely such a stretch last year that Budaj showed pretty conclusively he can’t handle the pressure of being the starter. We’ll see how Tokarski does, but if Price gets injured, we won’t miss Budaj.

Is everybody ready for our Habs to kick off another season of great hockey?

To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high.

  7. Cal says:

Glad to see you guys back in action after a long summer hiatus.
Looking forward to about 25 more or so.
