Former Gazette sports columnist Michael Farber, who now works for Sports Illustrated and TSN, is the guest on this week’s HI/O Show, joining Gazette columnist Dave Stubbs and sports editor/host Stu Cowan to discuss the latest news surrounding the Canadiens.
A recent HI/O poll had 68 per cent wanting the Canadiens to fire coach Michel Therrien and Farber notes how a coaching change probably isn’t the answer to the team’s problems. The panel also discusses what GM Marc Bergevin can do to address the Canadiens’ lack of scoring punch and how Max Pacioretty can improve his game.
Farber, who is headed to the Winter Olympics, talks about what he’s looking forward to most in Sochi and there’s a discussion about the impact the big international ice surface will have on Team Canada.
There is a new HI/O Show posted every Wednesday afternoon at hockeyinsideout.com. Next week’s scheduled guest is Dick Irvin, the legendary voice of the Canadiens and Hockey Night in Canada.
