If you have to rely on Hal Gill to steady the d corps, that’s not good at all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Stubbs for the first time at Centre Bell. I was with a friend, and we had a short but interesting chat about HIO, habs, and how HIO is such a great reason to not pay attention in class.

Was very happy to have met him, and for the first time i heard his voice LIVE not recorded. Very pleasant person. I think its cool to meet the very people who write things i read!

    Go habs go.

    • What you say is very true. Those of us involved in HIO Summits past have met Dave a few times and they are always very enjoyable experiences. One time, he shared a story with me about his witnessing of former Habs goalies Gerry McNeil and Jose Theodore, generations apart, talking shop and goalie gear in the CH dressing room. As awesome as the story was, even better was Stubbs’ almost youthful marveling at what’d witnessed. A true fan and always a class act, he brings a lot of humanity to his work. He turns the heroes we read about into people we can sometimes relate to. That’s a service, considering all the cynicism we must wade through in sports journalism to get to the good stuff. As Habs’ fans, were lucky to have him!

    Hey first time ever….I’m first.
